Thanks for the replies to my post folks. All makes sense to bring the partners into a more aligned position.

Before anyone suggests otherwise, I am a LTH from the TPET days and really want the company to be successful in its various projects.

But when I read the RNS I was struggling to see what was new as most, if not all, of it had either been in the open before or was widely speculated to be coming soon. So not sure, other than clarification, what extra this provides and why the excitement.

No doubt someone can point it out to me.

That's great to see. The other majors will not want BP coming in and taking all the prime acreage.

Maybe our turn next providing the 3D and resulting drill proves our reserves? I wonder what is already being shared with the bigger players in the data room?

Mate if I had £250K to 'top up' my portfolio I doubt I would be based in the UK and discussing it in a BB. I'd be cruising somewhere and simply getting SP alerts onto my phone!

To be honest Brombard most rubbish posters on here are in my filter list so I don't have to read their posts, and in any event I won't react to it as that just wastes my energy for no purpose.

I have never been so exposed on a single share before, but at my new average of about 1.85 9and falling) I am getting to the point where I can very easily recover all my investment which will include the TPET exposure of some years before. Indeed even to sell at the present SP (which I won't) means a loss that I can now afford if I have to, so rapidly becoming a no brainer - for me at least.

Keep up the good work mate - so of us on this board really appreciate your valued posts and those of a few others. I urge you to ignore the negative posters as just a few on a BB cannot influence the stock market to the extent they may think.

Just topped up with another 250K and will do so again if it continues to slide.

Its my own personal view that at this price the current assets of the company (leases, oil identified, etc) have to be worth more than I have just paid, irrespective of DW's optimism (in the Q&A) that a farm-out for the conventional will be completed this year and a bigger fracking company may be invited to tackle the unconventional. And that's without the new western leases or Yukon.

All still looking good to me making this price a no brainer. I could be wrong of course and remember TPET and the optimism I had there, but this feels more likely...

I too am a LTH, being here since the Tangiers days. I have steadily aquired over the years and reduced my average to less than 2p even allowing for TPET.

The only thing is I had not intended to be here so long. I thought we would easily be at an sp now that had allowed me to sell and be very happy.

IW2 was a postponement in my view, not a duster, but appears to now need more expertise from Texas. The acquisition of Yukon and now the new JV is welcome and adds further projects, but right now I simply want a really good RNS from the seismic results so that we are moving forward towards my release date.

Lot of reference in the RNS to the Joint Venture, more than I have noticed before. Now that PB is no longer with us I wonder if the BEX side now want to pull the plug and walk away with whatever a farm-in may bring, leaving DW and 88 to pursue other interests in the region on their own?

At the end of the RNS in a specific reference to 88E DW says "The 88E team is also extremely busy maturing our conventional projects at Icewine, Yukon Gold and the Western Blocks and will provide an update on these projects in the near future.” I had the feeling that perhaps all was not well in the camp when DW got hold of YG without BEX and was clearly going it alone, so maybe a farm-in may now be the catalyst for the end for the JV?

Not trying to stir up the wrong comments, just a personal opinion.

His presence is sorely missed at the moment. This was his baby and I am sure he would have been contributing various suggestions at this point. We can only hope that the plan was sufficiently forward looking to foresee these issues and have a process to move forward.

Personally I think this is a temporary glich to be overcome rather than a major concern as I cannot see the company or DW in particualr throwing money at a lost cause. The fact that they are working through the problems is heartening as DW has always said he would prefer to 'fail early' and there is no sign that he is caling a halt at this stage.

Lots of good stuff being posted, and much of it supports my own personal opinion that there is much more to come.

It may not be unconventional, or at least perhaps not yet, but we still have three other projects yet to deliver and I am happy to wait so topped up to bring my total holdings in 88E (inc old TPET) to a nice round figure.

Not the news we all wanted but clearly not a wash out either. They are on a learning curve and there are no rule books to follow, so our hope much be matched to their longer term expectations.

I can easily see another shut in over the winter which will approach fast up there but that merely means that my investment goes dormant for a while. It certainly doesn't get cashed in as a panic measure. This company has too many projects running to bail out.

Unfortunately for my bank balance I can feel another top-up coming in 30 mins!

I think that the only issue is we don't yet have confirmation of oil being flowed. That won't happen yet despite us all wanting the RNS asap. So the sp will reflect that as its a pretty fickle market.

Until, or indeed unless, that happens yesterday's rise on the surprise news will probably filter away back to whatever is the support line until DW tells us (in due course) what the status of IW2 really is.

Personally I am happy to wait, although like everyone else I hope this project comes good and we see some positive and long term upward trend to the sp.

I agree Brom, it has certainly expanded our portfolio of projects.

It seems highly unlikley that we will not get a success with at least one of them, but confirmation of consistent HC's now being seen clearly in the flow results would settle a few short-term nerves.
