I tend to agree Bits. There is a baseline being maintained, but with trading being encouraged during the day.

Its not the sp that generally makes money for MM's, its the volume of trades and the associated fees.

Heck, if the sp drops much lower I'd think about making an offer to buy them out myself!

Never really understood why if its the same individual (I doubt it personally - more likely to be an automated transaction in my view) you would buy 1M one day and then another similar buy a couple of days later.

Why not simply buy 2M on the day when the sp is lowest?

Your comments are compelling Jiddy, and that is why I remain invested way longer than I ever intended.

But it would be nice to see some positive buying of the shares as that will signal good news known to ii's that we won't yet be privvy to.

When I first read the RNS my first thought was this seems like desperately finding something to say.

I am a long term holder from TPET days and have a fair investment here, so I wantt to see it through and hopefully see everyone come out a winner. So there is no 'side' to my comments, just personal reaction.

But I'm not surprised the sp is down at the moment, there are only so many times you can tell the same story. Sure a greater conventional pool is welcome, but its still in the ground. Hopefully there will be an RNS that says the farm-out is concluded with a plan to get the oil to the surface, and that will convince the bigger investors to start taking an interest. Until that time I can't see any reason for a rise.

The major problem I have at the moment with the sp being so low is stopping myself from topping up yet again - enough has to be enough at some point!

Brombarb, your comment 'I am hopeful Big Dave has something good to tell us otherwise can not see point of the meeting' is I am sure shared by everyone here, but how can he deliver any news that could influence the share price without telling the market first?

I hope you are right - I personally think its probably more likely to be a 'keep holding on, good things are around the corner' sort of presentation without any specifics unless they are released during this week.

Bits, I was merely musing on the possibility. So with a variety of news hoped for before the year end, and then drilling news in Q1 2019, I have no doubt (personally) that some of it, while perhaps not the sort of 'we have struck oil' type of news, may inevitably start to attract investors currently sitting with cash and watching.

Only my own view of course, and as Brom often says, it is up to all of us to leave or stay depending upon our own research or gut feel.

I share those sentiments, but there is no way to 'lose the lot' IMHO.

The land under lease has a value, the oil underground (even if not fully proven yet) has a value, the data gathered and infrastructure in place and the company's line of credit etc, it all has a value to another company.

It may not make us rich but speaking for myself I cannot see how I can personally lose the investment now that my average (even allowing for the old TPET shares) is only fractionally above the current sp. Even if DW sold us now on the lowest return offered I still think I would come out with a profit (although I do accept others may not) so hence why I am happy to stay.

Every little bit of good news bumps the sp up a little bit more. If we get sopme really good news that would be great! Bring it home Dave, I am happy to wait until you are ready.

I thought it was worth about 57p, so 78p would be a real bonus.

All I need is for DW to provide an RNS stating that the company is being purchased for $1 AUD per share.

Only my own opinion, but I doubt we will see any 3D news prior to the announcement of a farm-in. I am sure prospective production companies would prefer the details locked away in the data room at the moment while (I assume) negotiations are underway.

Progress timeline towards the next stages of the unconventional are more likely to be announced, although i cannot reconcile why any major want another company fracking close to where they are hoping to drill and produce from the conventional?

So maybe a buy-out will be the only announcement - who knows. Only DW knows and he's not going to be telling until he's good and ready! Bring it home Dave....

I can only speak for myself but the process of 'making' the baby takes but a few seconds!

I wake every morning to see what the Aussies have been told. Usually nothing but the anticipation gets me awake.

There are no doubt many others eager for an update, but to what end?

The committed LTH will probably stay to the bitter end (whatever that is) no matter what the short term sp changes are.

There will be others, and I may be one of them, who will top slice if any good news affects the sp to make it worthwhile. That would recover all my investment (and then some) and give me a decent free carry to whatever happens in 2019.

No doubt others who are disillusioned by what they see as lack of progress would try and sell out if they could come out equal.

Whatever your position we all want the same thing - news......
