Who knows, I doubt we have been told the full story at BB. I am dubious about HH also. At the end of the day if it had the slightest liklihood of being of 'National Significance', on shore, in the UK, a major would have eaten up UKOG and the other tiddlers in a heartbeat and taken a risk. What is a lot of money to UKOG is a pittence to a major, it simply doesnt add up to me that HH is anything like what people think it will be. I am expecting impressive flow rates as per last time, tailing off over the length of the EWT proving that it really isnt commercial in the long term

BB leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. I was a LTH until the disaster there, not been back in since. HH is beginning to smell a bit iffy too if you ask me. I wouldnt mind betting the RNS everyone is expecting is not what people want to hear. The board are very good at stringing PIs along here and delivering nothing. I can see this drifting to 1.7/1.8 before news and then I hope for the sake of those invested that they dont deliver another set of appaling results

Seen it enough times with this share. It will drift and drift while news takes longer and longer to break, which is inevitably bad/not per expectation. For some reason sentiment holds this share up but no idea why there is such blind faith. I prefer to stick to the facts. Huge risk here and a LONG way from seeing any real return

Don’t like to pour water on the fire, especially as I am a LTH, but don’t expect any uplift form the bond holders meeting. The fact that it is alread6 a foregone conclusion means it’s been priced in by the market already.

I’ll second that, it was great to be able to view the video taken at the last event. Would appreciate anyone taking the time to do so

OrsonCart - I do agree. I was a very LTH up to BB disaster, but sold on the drop down. I won’t invest here again as lost all trust in the board. However, I still enjoy keeping an eye on progress as I would actually like to see the UK benefit from the huge potential of the Weald and I hope those still invested also end up benefiting too. But for me, there was something very underhand about the comms and the way the issues were dealt with at BB. The continued lack of director share purchases also speaks volumes to me

There is no news expected Friday, that’s not to say there won’t be any, there could be any time Anyone who has inside knowledge and knows there definitely is news being released on a specific date would be banned from LSE and potentially would be in a lot more hot water than that - quite simply it’s illegal.

RachelsDad - it’s not to be sniffed at, but the reason the market isn’t jumping around with excitement about it is the face that you have to make 57 million quid profit to be able to ‘use it’ so to speak. So it’s not really of value at the moment, but should the company start to generate healthy profits in future then absolutely it is

‘5 year wait’??? Are you having a funny turn? So much news due that this is going to substantially climb and VERY quickly. We have seen it before when close to news but now we are getting to the sharp end

I was a LTH and held on the rise from 1.3 to 8p+. Ended up selling on the drop after B.B. disaster at 2.8p. So luckily still made a little. I still read the bulletin board and keep an eye on what’s going on but it’s very sad to see the company slowly implode the way it has. I hope those that are still left manage to get out without too much damage to their bank balance eventually. GL to those that still believe but don’t let your heart rule your head

I agree - this is very big news today. The problem is sentiment has taken such a bashing that it takes time to turn it around. A bit like trying to turn a massive ship around and point it in the right direction again. Not getting the recognition deserved today, but with news coming thick and fast the ship will continue to turn.....

I'm already in Spary! not sold out yet as think there is a lot more to come. I was just making the point - people expecting an RNS imminently, like we did after the last court date, but it took some time to filter through. And the day traders will no doubt jump ship before then.

I suspect there will be a tumble tomorrow if no news. Most of the buyers causing the rise will be traders and they wont stick around long. Look how long the wait was after the last court hearing. Took weeks.

To be fair to Dave he has outlined the facts there and the whole "its the MMs!" conversation that goes on here as well as many other AIM board does get my goat sometimes. "Buys as Sells" is not some conspiracy to encourage the price down, its simply stating whether the trade price was above or below the mid-point at the time of the transaction - its very rarely going to get it right. As Dave points out, this is a an automated system you are dealing with not some smarmy banker-type sitting at a PC rubbing his hands and chuckling at you

I haven’t logged on to this board for 3 weeks. Last time I was here daveavt was just spouting negativity every 5 mins. Can’t believe that 3 weeks later it’s exactly the same still! Dave - if you hate this share don’t buy it/sell what you have. If you do like it, it’s spring, go out and enjoy life, talk to some human beings and come back here when there is something to talk about you Nobichoc

I agree BHS was more 'granny-like' as you say, but I'd still argue their struggles are the same in that Debenhams are trying to be all things to all people and not doing any of it particularly well. I cant think of anything where I automatically think 'Ah, I must go to Debenhams for that'. There are no brands stocked that I cant get elsewhere, they aren't cheaper than anywhere else, they arent more convenient, nor is their online experience any better. In fact, when I think about the last 2 times I have been into Debenhams it was because I was browsing, saw some kitchen items I wanted, touched and felt them, then looked them up on Amazon to find them around 30% cheaper and placed the order there and then on my phone

I'll be honest and admit to have a short of Debenhams. Not just in anticipation of the xmas results, I have held it for some time and will continue to do so for the longer term. I have held the view for a long time now that unfortunately I see Debenhams as the next BHS. I dont think they know their place in the market and have not come up with anything radical enough to halt their steady decline. I dont like holding shorts as generally like to invest, but at the end of the day we all are here to make money and with Debenhams I intend to hold until the end game. A sad story for one of the UKs most well known high street brands, but i cant see things changing
