We need to be reading between the lines here I reckon.
One could easily be forgiven for disappointment selling this morning. BUT! I sense a bigger story about to unfold here over coming weeks.
We KNOW Glencore are a keen seller at the right price.........................
Watch this space!
Have they REALLY made us wait 8 months for THAT?
Or, is another fruitier RNS incoming. I wonder................
Sooty, I'm inclined to agree with you.
A can kicker just won't cut it this time.
Thing is, if a deal was being put together and finalised, there would surely be leaks with the number of different parties involved.
If there isn't a deal forthcoming, Trahar and Elphick have a lot to answer for from angry, frustrated shareholders who will feel rightly conned.
Well......no RNS today so TRANSFORMATIVE Thursday is now "a thing".
All roads are leading to a material announcement tomorrow. Either that or Zioc are incredibly incompetent by cruelly leading it's loyal, long suffering shareholders to believe that the stars had finally aligned (by their actions in delaying a run of the mill re-costing exercise to coincide with Glen's AGM). Not forgetting the prolonged radio silence too!
It's, quite literally, sh 1t or bust tomorrow now.
Please oh share god's, for once in my life SURPRISE ME FFS!!!!!!!!
Feeks, for starters, a new board with a bit of ambition and get-up-and-go.
I'm sick to the back teeth of endless work programmes and studies in disappointing RNS's.
This is the world's 5th largest iron ore deposit. It should either be mined or sold. Not studied to death for 10 years.
It's either a huge co-incidence that Glen's AGM is this Thursday and our expected RNS is (this Thursday??) or synchronized announcements are coming about a material change for the project in some shape or form be it a sale, 3rd party investment , project funding or early stage go-ahead.
Are we days away from very significant news?
If we aren't and it's another (6 months late) can-kicking waffle job with big words, then it's time for board resignations.
We've all waited long enough.
There will NEVER be a better, more opportune time to sell this project on.
We are all kidding ourselves and we are in for another big disappointment.
It's now (before year end) or never for me because iron ore price is cyclical and won't stay high for ever and when it eventually falls away again, then what for Zanaga/Zioc?????
All it takes is a wee mention at their AGM and Zioc will go berserk. You'll get loads of Glen PI's piling in here.
Extrader, not like you to be getting ahead of yourself lol. That last post was almost rampy!
Anyway, what are people's **minimum** expectations for the news?
Personally (and I so hope I'm wrong) I'm expecting another dreary can-kicker with lots of fancy words and yet more studies and work programmes. This will be disastrous for sentiment in the share.
It's just that I've never experienced a really materially positive RNS from Zioc before despite holding for 5 years now. So i'm "conditioned" to be disappointed.
Go on Andrew, surprise me!!!
Live webcast starting in 5 mins. Link in RNS.
Depends on the nature of the news Sid.
There are, as you know, many different ways this could play out.
I've always said, my gut feeling is a Glencore buyout via share swap.
Btw, what happened to Minor minor?Used to like his posts, particularly the ones with numbers
Surely if bad news was due it'd have leaked out somewhere by now and the shorts would be selling again.
Wonder if Poker bought back in today?
Hi Lisa,
Please forgive my direct approach.
As a long term Petrofac shareholder, I would like to make a personal appeal directly to you as SFO chief.
It is not to try in any way to influence your decision as that would not only be illegal, but also naïve and foolish.
Rather, I would like to ask you to bring the investigation into Petrofac to a speedy conclusion whatever the outcome. It has been 4 long years now since the investigation began. In that time the damage done to Petrofac in terms of it's reputation, loss of business and share price has been little short of disastrous.
As you may be aware, recently, ADNOC announced they were suspending Petrofac from any further bidding for contracts (because of SFO case). Others may follow.
My appeal to you is based on the fact that 4 years is surely long enough to investigate a case. The longer it drags on, the more damage is done to Petrofac at a difficult enough time because of 12 months of Covid. It's employees also suffer.
Petrofac desperately need to move on from this unfortunate episode (be they guilty or not), so please for the sake of all stakeholders let's bring this case to it's conclusion.
Thank you.
A Petrofac shareholder.
Come on Mr Trahar! What are you playing at? It's now past mid-April!!!
Give us something.
I think £3 by year's end. £2 by end of May.
Surprised at a red day today, considering we're getting an RNS in the morning that could potentially be explosive.
Charlie, not only liked and re-tweeted but followed aswell!
