Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Haha, fair comment. Especially if using the cushioned, triple layer luxury stuff :)
I know this was posted several hours ago but just watched the Dr Yo video on Youtube. It is very interesting and well worth watching - discusses the immune response, Synairgen and IFN Beta, potential for false negative Covid test results and his views on antibodies/vaccines.
Just as a postscript, if you happen to write toilet paper standard articles/deramping, you only need to spend about an hour of your life listening to the video to learn quite a bit about Covid, only a few minutes to learn about SNG and IFN-B.
Cold drink poured, happy weekend folks
Probably macosta buying back in with fomo
No such thing as the perfect entry/top up though. With 20/20 hindsight we’d all be lining up the fleet of Ferrari’s etc.
I got top ups in at just under 214 and 198 this week. Likewise I am up to my gonads here but still thought about one more top up this morning. Didn’t bother in the end.
Fingers crossed all for a barnstorming blue finish here today then hopefully very positive news soon
All very intriguing....and price moving up on small trades. Are MM’s not wanting to sell too many shares or will we see delayed trades later on?
Agreed and to see posters calling RM arrogant when the company are no doubt flat out behind the scenes.
In all of the interviews Richard has done this year he comes across as anything but arrogant. He’s a very calm and measured voice in my opinion
No was just being a bit sarcastic with the strange comment after the fall and dross articles. Was only doing dummy buy - I have enough of a holding here :)
Can get a quote to buy 1k shares only. Strange....
Number of deaths being lower is (obviously) very good news. However, you still din’t want to catch Covid. If you do catch it then it needs treating as there is significant evidence of people suffering long term effects/organ damage.
I know someone who is fit and healthy who caught the virus in March. Didn’t end up in hospital but they said it was the most ill they have ever been. And still coughing up stuff recently
MM’s are at the beck and call of their II clients, so contrary to what many believe, they do not manipulate the market. But they are very important.
What I can guarantee is that when MM’s get a chance to knock seven shades of s*** out of a share, they do. MM’s do not invest for long term so if they can bring a share down rapidly on small individual trades, they will. Pick up some lower priced shares and flip em on.
Unless we hear otherwise, nothing has changed in the story here. Still one of the most promising treatments to get us out of this viral mess - IMHO and DYOR as always
Think and hope it’s a combo of the Fool article, nervousness amongst bed wetters and people thinking the USA is the only potential market, hence maybe disappointed by the Donald last night.
One thing is for certain, if MM’s sense an opportunity to smash a share price they will do so.
Added another £10k worth this avo. Not exactly lacking shares here but in for a penny, in for a pound. Hope all that holding will be rewarded.
Well it’s nice to see a 15% rise on screen after being away for a couple of hours. Be nice to get back above 30 (3p in old money).
Today’s news didn’t strike me as much in particular but MTR looking perky
Like everyone else who is in SNG, I am on the one hand baffled by the radio silence, especially by UK government, since manic Monday. On the other hand the price action is very encouraging.
Whilst big players don’t get everything right, I keep revisiting the same ground, having done as much research as possible. Why would Venrock have rapidly built their stake in a previously unknown AIM stock given the credentials of the Venrock team?
I’m in big time here and holding for the story to unfold. I just cannot see how this treatment doesn’t get commercialised for Covid. If COPD also positive results then even better.
Wishing you all a great week!
Not sure if this has been posted already tonight as I’ve been busy with other things, but for info the US OTC close was 3.39, so very approximately 260p ish
Hi Org30
The MM can delay large trades so that they can trade around it before it prints, effectively giving them time to work the trade and get sellers/buyers to help get their book to a position they want.
This means that we can see large trades after the event when we might have already bought/sold. It’s not always a bad thing, just thought it would be worth highlighting how some of the larger trades are handled as we are seeing a lot of these after hours trades at the mo
This is an interesting one. Whilst we might all have our views on Market Makers, the bottom line is that if they get a large order from a big player, there will be much more chance of that big player getting their price, or close to their price compared to us mere mortals, no matter how much we have invested here or any other stock.
When a MM has a significant player looking to buy or sell they will try to find the other side of that trade and some of the order/all of the order might be dealt at risk. Depends on the size and flow of an MM’s business. Whatever the MM can do to work the order by moving the price they will do and are entitled to do.
Larger trades being delayed do not help anybody apart from the MM but it is within the rules as that is a benefit they get for taking the risk of making an orderly market. Hopefully a bit of help for all as to market mechanics
Apologies if this has been posted previously as it’s hard keeping up with volume of messages posted since Manic Monday.
I’ve just seen an article by a Dr Osterholm talking a out Covid being a problem Americans will be living with for decades. It’s on Marketwatch and from 1st August - interesting reading. Hopefully we will not be living with it for decades but highlights the challenges of dealing with this thing
Just read similar/same article Nobby - that’s a very interesting move by Warren Buffett. There was a Peter Schiff video on Zerohedge a few weeks back that made the bull case for gold. Well worth watching.
Ordinarily one might assume gold has gone on a crazy run but we are in unprecedented times. Hopefully the Rock will be coming good for us all.
Some really interesting stuff to read up on later on with a cold glass of something. I’m thinking and analysing non stop whilst out exercising (some of the best thinking time). Nice work guys after the babble on here this morning.
Good weekend all!
Friday morning after the Thursday night before? ;)
