The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Didn't pfd hire someone to audit and value pfd for a sale few months back. Or was that just certain brands they was looking to sell? If Cinven are looking to buy a food company wouldn't it make more sense for Gavin to spearhead a takeover of pfd.
Can you help with ur analysis, help us understand your logic? Of course DYOR. But I think you need to open a few windows, this lockdown seems to have you high on your own fumes. Some fresh air might help clear the mind.
Could the revolving credit facility not have been used to pay down the senior notes? With it having cheaper interest rates.
Also when can we expect management to refinance the debt.
Its a valid point about the activist investors. As they would expect quick returns short term. Therefore pressure management to sell off parts of the business like bachelors ect.
This may reduce debt which might have an influence on the sp. However this does not make the business any healthier.
Being tied into pfd for so many years at such a heavy book loss. I was wanting a quick exit and welcomed oasis. But now seeing the transformation. I am now happy to be a long term investor and see pfd grow and build once more. Dividend this year to repay us long suffering PI would be nice Mr Whitehouse. Iv had enough of carrots!

Equity method affiliate. To make them a consolidated subsidiary.
Do Nissin still have a member on the board?
If Nissin are stake building. Could the capital reduction be orchestrated by the nissin partnership, in order to start paying divi. So it benefits their balance sheet too. Without a takeover.
At the close of business did anyone else notice bid price over 113p and ask price at 102p with sp at 107??
I suspect there will be some large trades showing at the close of business tomorrow as these orders are filled.
I really hope its nissin stake building in the open market. Could they be working towards a hostile takeover? Or is that a farfetched idea
Are they completely out or just hold less then 10% thus no longer have a seat at the table. Also who acquired all those shares oasis and Paulson gave up few weeks ago. Was it another institute or PI’s.
IMO get in before the trading update. As most supermarkets are saying it has been a busy xmas period. With pfd significantly increasing there availability, of product lines across the supply chain. This will only contribute towards better sales for pfd. They also seem to have a good distribution network, and better relationship with the supermarkets.
Its kallumama buying quietly ??
Nissin brought there shares from standard life directly first time round. could they be up to their old antics again buying directly from major shareholders.
Also with dividends on the horizon. The debt reduction and remodelling of P&L acc. Why would they be reducing their holding now.
Looks like someone in the city is impressed. £35mil traded with 3 traded showing as buys?! Could it be nissin closing in on a takeover?
I too have been stuck here longer than i can remember. But being invested so long you must see were we was to were we have come. Regardless of the SP. Thus have the confidence to top up at the prices you did. This clearly isn't for the faint hearted but with management having a clearer understanding of how to deal with the debt. This will no doubt be £1+ next year IMO.
Could these trades possibly be sells showing as buys? As at the time of the trade the SP was around 88p. Pfd just loves doing the opposite to what its supposed to. 13 consecutive quarters of good results yet Sp drops every time.
