I day trade US stocks, this pattern happens every single day. Solid news released, flurry of activity for the first 30 mins to an hour, a nice rise, it moves up in waves to 30%, 50% maybe even 100%+ up, then it sells off for the rest of the day, it might get a second wind, but once it loses volume and trader interest it drops. Stocks on AIM are no different to the penny stocks in the US, except those are bought and sold with far, far greater volume. The spread on AIM can also be pretty brutal, this is a bad stock to trade, the MMs are good at keeping the spread wide here.
On concrete funding news this will fly and perhaps sustain a rise for much longer, but my advice to anyone who wants it is you really should slice profits. Sell some high, and if you believe it has further to go, buy back when it inevitably pulls back. Here endeth the lesson! π€£
I do very much believe in this stock, which is why I will remain invested here for the longer term. Genuinely good luck to all of us, I've been in this stock for 4 years, it's about time it started to fly!
