PatShare - It happens all day every day across all market, good news drops, retail piles in thinking it'll go up, up, UP! IIs and savvier pre positioned retail sell in to the rise and the liquidity the FOMO crowd brings. Rinse and repeat. Other than sitting on your hands for years at a time, it's the only way retail investors can win, buy in to weakness on a story you believe in and sell in to strength. Anything else on AIM is hope. Most mining stock never makes it to production. There are only a hand full of exceptions on AIM, I hope eventually KEFI will be one of those exceptions.

I know I've been a negative nelly in my last few posts, but I'll be reloading for the next leg up. But the sp I think will drop a little more still. I'm hoping to top up around the 1.1 to 1.2p range. Depends what the charts says this week.

Why is this tree shake odd? This board and some of the people on it are genuinely mental. Of course this was going to happen, however even I was surprised at how short lived the spike was before that hard fade. Great news, but this is literally the definition of sell the news, you're watching it unfold. 2p by the end of the day?!? Have you had your meds? Not a chance. This will drift for a few weeks now, at which point I will top up what is now a free carry position here, and again, like every other sane person, I'll sell in to strength. If you're a LTH, why are you on this board? Just come back in 2 years, your constant "this will hit XYZ pence are consistently wrong. I want this to do well, but some of you sound like it's your first day trading on AIM. Wise up.

This is pure fantasy! KEFI don't compare to Newmont in any way and what you're saying is dangerous for the woefully naïve on this board. If everything goes to plan here and they get to production without a hitch, 5-10p is more realistic in that 3-4 year timeline and represents an incredible investment return at these levels.

If the Saudi JV is successful too perhaps we can see 15p and above AND if gold continues to go ballistic, then yes 5-10p starts to look very conservative indeed. But holding on to wild figures like 85p a share is how PIs see huge paper profits come and go because they have an unrealistic figure in their head.

As bullish as I am here, like many others on this board, we have to remember KEFI is a junior miner in one of the riskier jurisdictions, with a single mine that has a limited mine life. There's execution risk, there's further dilution risk before production and there's the junior miner discount. KEFI is not a low risk major producer like Newmont, so they just don't compare.

i wish this had moved higher and sustained those highs for longer for everyone and i do feel like a really cynical investor these days, but aim is a casino and most shares never move how you hoped they would. hope is where a pis account goes to die, buy a share when it's weak, if you believe in the story and the opportunity, and sell or slice in to strength. hoping a share will do better is where you see paper profits come and then equally as fast disappear, like we've seen today. whether it's a placing that kept the price down today or people are still wary of this stock, i guess we'll find out in the fullness of time.

it did a big move this morning and the way us pis survive is by positioning before news and before a rise, and then selling in to that rise and the liquidity that the news brings. i see way too much blind optimism/ramping on lse boards and any sliver of pragmatism or caution is shot down as either de-ramping or shorting. if someone has all of a sudden appeared on the board telling everyone it's gonna do 400% then give them the respect they deserve and green bin them, cos they're talking *******s.

It amazes me that people think that anything the markets or the MMs do that is anything less than a share going to the moon, is a stitch up. It's supply and demand, it went up nearly 75% this morning, that's a big move on a solid operational update and people sliced or exited in profit (which I did). £21m over 5 years is not rocket fuel money, it made a nice move, but that's all it really deserves today. Great to get yourselves positioned on the inevitable pull back for the next pop when they announce revenue, but if you think this share with it's bloated float is going to the moon today then you're delusional.

Come off it Sharebel, this isn't a place for reasonable and pragmatic views. This is just weak hands selling for "beer money". This is about to rocket to £10 a share by eod. 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀

haha, it's all fun and games here isn't it, the rampers never cease to amaze me. Good RNS, nice operational update, but no money. This has reached it's peak today and I've sold most of my holding between 0.65 and 0.7, thank you very much! I've left 25% of my holding as a free ride now and will probably watch it slip down after this morning's rise. Once they release some news about actual revenue, this should pop again, but until then, everyone please be careful of the absolute mentals on these forums persuading you to buy at the worst possible time.

Indeed, I'm only 40 so I'm happy to have a core in here for years to come, same with GGP. It looks like I arsed up Tungsten West and ended up selling into weakness rather than strength, but such is the game we play here in AIM.

And that's been the key here, buy low when the sentiment has been very poor in the hopes that it will change, as you did last placement. It looks to be changing now and this has moved nicely in quite short order. I don't think this is momentary sp increase and there is very little reason for this to row back hard. But I've seen it over and over, people with very strong belief in a share absolutely baffled as to why it's not moving up higher and faster. This should move up and with the news about to drop maybe this week and then later this month the re-rate could be explosive. However I've learnt that the market is more irrational than I expected and I've been burnt by it previously. It's good to be bullish but also pragmatic, timing things perfectly is nigh on impossible, gotta slice into strength and let some run. All in or all out is a dangerous strategy.

I don't like to see ramping or deramping on any of the LSE boards, but imho it's a fools errands to try and predict the share price based on fundamentals alone. Especially with a share that has such a long and sordid history of delays and placements. Sentiment is king in small cap, no profit land. I'm bullish and have averaged up to join the ride, but nothing, repeat NOTHING goes up in a straight line. All the milestones are known and yes people will sell into the strength of this rise, however I think the news releases over the next month or so will generate far more buys than sells, this should go up if they start to deliver on their promises. We could see the break over 2p this month all being well, but don't underestimate what a psychological barrier round numbers are, they are usually selling targets, the key will be them getting broken through and continuing the journey upwards. GLA.

Sadly we have no one to blame but ourselves, paper profit buys us nothing. Gotta slice into strength, I've been decent with other shares but bottled it on this one thinking it was the start of something much bigger, sadly for now at least that was the wrong decision. I was hoping my 8p stoploss wouldn't get hit, but this is in a horrible slow drift down atm. They should stick 2 fingers up to the government and get US or EU backing and let them have the offtake. I wonder if there are any stipulations in the permits that mean that that isn't possible? It really does feel like they are snatching defeat in the jaws of victory here, very disappointing.

just got 3/5ths of my holding stopped out at 8. leaves me some to run in case they can reverse this ship. ****ed it up sadly, should have sold over 14p but married the share and bottled it. lesson learnt, i won't be doing the same with kefi. i'd love this company to sort it out but my confidence is incredibly low here, absolute clown show and the government has well and truly dropped the ball with this one. we should be well on our way instead of floundering around still trying to secure investment. pathetic really.

Good for you, Stebo, that takes guts. You just never know with AIM, and especially it seems with KEFI, I wasn't feeling overly confident especially given how side swiped I remember you were when that placing dropped. Nothing is guaranteed in small cap land, but I definitely feel more confident that everyone in positions of power wants this to happen and soon. Hopefully blue sky from here.

Halved my meagre holdings on the last dilution, but this seems closer to being nailed on than ever, so I've topped up again at 1.16p. Still in profit and hoping the re-rate is just getting started! GLA.

I just off loaded 20k shares to reduce my exposure here a touch, I still think there is value here but it's been a really slow grind and I wish I'd sold out long before now when it was in the 14-16p range. Still got more riding, hoping this gets the favourable funding it deserves!

The absolute state of these AIM companies is truly something to behold. We're all being held hostage in hopes of a quality RNS, when they can be bothered to update us, and that's assuming the next RNS isn't a placement. I'll be selling this one at the first possible opportunity and reinvesting it in to a more stable stock, outside of the casino that is AIM.

I have a sizeable position in my portfolio, have done for years, but there isn't a lot to be cheery about atm is there? The project being nailed on to get to production doesn't necessarily mean us simple folk will do well out of it. Like a mug, I've watched 200% come and go and now I'm sitting on 26% up hoping it doesn't fall further. What a cluster f**k it's been here, anywhere else in the world and it would have been in production by now.

Nah, just a bit bored of the casino that is AIM. I do my trading on US stocks now, more rocket fuel there. All my AIM positions have sell orders lined up and I sit on my positions and wait. I'm sure this'll catch fire eventually, just a bit of patience required.

Because the markets are all a game and most of it, especially for penny stocks like this, isn't solely based on fundamentals. Today there was a solid catalyst, a fantastic LOI, but it's not a guarantee of money or funding, it's just an excuse for traders to either pile in or to cut profit as it moves up. Buy the rumour, sell the news will always trump the fundamentals. It's not right, but the market is very often irrational. This will move up again soon enough.
