This is fantastic news, real traction happening before our very eyes. Looks like same concept with what we saw at Dunsford at the equipment days last month and that HGV being filled with hydrogen produced from H-Power cracker technology. This is getting very exciting.

Aldebaran - you sound very much like a Trump supporter. I hope that doesn't offend you but you really do. You do realise that practically the whole world really doesn't like him one little bit and disagreed with everything he says and touches.

Like you say Aldebaran, any one trying to talk down hydrogen either doesn't understand it or is deliberately trying to overinflate the necessity to move to fossils in a hurry.

I am going to have to agree with Daz9643 here, but will add if you can find a company willing to drill our dwindling basins then let them take the high monetary risks! I won't be investing in that drilling company that's for sure.

Oil and gas are sold internationally. Everyone globally pays the same price. Extraction from our north sea basin doesn't alter market prices it all goes into the same pot and 90% of the north sea's oil and gas has already been extracted, making it a declining basin. If companies want to take the risks then let them drill Id say, but they will have to pay the price to do so and it may be a very poor return. We need all fuels and that also includes renewables and ammonia to become self reliant, energy secure as it's in our national interests. Simple as that.

Well this is excellent news.

Looks like the EU now wants to speed things up within the hydrogen space by 2 years. It's obvious to me that the Middle East situation is making hydrogen and it's derivatives move much quicker for development and growth. We will find out in June after a request from the 5 strong EU nations whether their wish comes true. Really interesting and exciting times we are in.

Oil prices very likely to remain elevated for the forseeable future in my opinion. This may well lead to Governments excelerating the need for alternative fuels which will include ammonia as a fuel carrier.

I totally agree with your sentiment Truthisgood. Iran now have long term tool to leverage control from the SOH. The US have firmly boxed themselves in.

An enormous academic undertaking with so many top partners on board including AFC (H-Power) for it's cracker tech part of the project. Looks like the study is nearing completion and after many rigorous years of hard work and learning. Now about to progress to it's next important stage which will be commercial. Absolutely fascinating times we are in for ammonia as a global fuel carrier for marine, heavy industry along side off grid applications and many other industrial use.
