Hmmmm 10p to 11p? You'll get those buy prices as they are too conservative still, I suspect. I have this going to 8p/9p and, assuming it finds support there, then that is where it will sit. This isn't just a result of a rogue 'Broker Downgrade' I don't think. So, it has to be something; as otherwise a RNS would have been put out saying that the "Board have no knowledge as to why this has fallen so dramatically". This they have NOT done so there is something else going on in the background that has caused it. For this reason, it isn't correct to say that it is "oversold" until you know why it is sitting at this price today! It may actually be very expensive right now; but as nobody has communicated anything at all, we just do not know. markets don't like grey they only like black or white. Further falls today and/or tomorrow therefore seem likely now. BTWFDIK!!

yes agreed. 'Actuals' are lower but 'Capex' is better. So, by and large, a pretty workmanlike performance from Petra. Friday's 'sell-off' was always a strong guider as to what we were to expect this morning and -6% on Fridays is about right. Tough sector this one with no uplift in diamond prices in sight; this year at least, it seems. ATB

Exactly - on both counts. They knew better “before” we knew (strange that isn’t it!?), but it’s good to have them on board. If they did buy as low as the low 40’s, then let’s hope they stick around for greater returns; now that we have slipped back to just under 51p. . . I have to say, that this is a mega frustrating share!

No you won’t. Those results were very impressive; profit taking, following a 25% increase, is totally to be expected. Also, ‘round numbers’ especially the ‘on pound’ numbers like £1, £2, £3 etc. always attract selling. It’s just a physchological target price that people shoot for. This has every chance of moving to £1.51p this year. No round number there!

Finncap have not announced their Target Price yet, but it won't be anywhere near to today's price though; my best guess is £1.45p? ATB

Unless I have gone colour blind overnight, I’d say that’s a pretty healthy amount of blue. Apart from the stand-out trade at 16:30, they are all very small ‘toe in the water’ buy trades, but a blue day nonetheless. These are clearly rather nervous, small buyers and top-uppers, but still; it’s Progress!

No amount of share price increase could possibly tempt me to buy in to another company in this sector! MTFB has been a savage and salutary lesson, from which I have learned!

the only 'strange' thing that I can see here, is that people are still coughing up 2.3p for these today, when they will get them for less next week...yet again. Calisto, if I were an Institutional investor (and therefore a strong influencer), I would be looking for a change of leadership. Simply put, we are not ‘now’ where we ‘were’. No point wearing a polar jacket once you’ve touched down in the Sahara! We need a very different skill-set to the one that was needed when we floated four years ago. I’d like to see a much more aggressive and charismatic person who can get us out of this situation (don’t want to use the word ‘mess’!) and take us forward to a successful outcome. Nothing personal to GL but his skill-set is now the wrong one, for our present canvas. . .there you go, a retail and painting analogy, all in just one post! Ha ha! ATB

And finally. Don’t be surprised if the next RNS is to say that GL has been relieved of his duties as CEO. He will be under the most intense pressure from the likes of Invesco. Trust me, they will say they are “fully supportive” blah blah blah, but they will be having some stern discussions with GL with regard a ‘clear way forward’. A few very uncomfortable visits to their very smart offices in Portman Square, I would imagine for Graham. . . .

Wisha, yes I agree with that. My inflection point is going to be 1.8p to buy (so maybe 1.65p actual). Anything above 2p and you’re over paying here. Always said it, but plenty of punters have chosen to pay nearly 70% more than needed in the last five weeks alone. It’s like a blood dyson this one for sucking up people’s money!!
