A minor earthquake has hit parts of south-east England.
Horse Hill operations probably being blamed.
And the shockwaves were felt in Lincolnshire.
Followed by those selling on the profit made when they bought shares at .18!
A long term investor in 2020 means holding for about 2 hours.
One thing that does surprise me is that BMD has been very quiet regarding UJO.
He is normally ahead of everybody with his information and more often than not he is accurate.
Desmond45 - I'm not having a go at you but I would have thought that it's never been easier in the history of mankind to spread rumours/false information, including photos, so as to spread panic and with little or no chance of being prosecuted. I certainly don't trust anybody on a bulletin board and I wouldn't expect anybody to trust me either.
Hypothetically DB tweets that he knows of no reason for the share price drop - 50% will say well done for calming our fears and 50% will call him a liar.
If he says, there is going to be a placing to cover the cost of wells C and D the price probably drop further anyway.
Might somebody be trying to up their % holding in WN by forcing out UJO by asking for the C and D costs to be paid up front?
Has Tom Winnifrith told his followers to sell?
The drop in the oil price is not DB's fault and I would think it will tick up again as a Northern Hemisphere winter arrives.
What other plausible reasons could there be?
Is there a delay in the Main rig arriving? Surely that would be days rather than weeks or months?
There has been discussion on the RBD bulletin board about UJO being overvalued compared to RBD.
Surely these differences in market value are always there and that's just the way it is even if it doesn't make sense.
I certainly wouldn't be holding if Wressle, the EWT and the drilling at B1 were not going to happen in the next 3 and half months.
As DB said, we should know how good (or bad) things are by Christmas.
Good luck to everybody, whether ramper or deramper!
What were your suggestions to DB Heid?
Isn't the price of shares in a placing usually based on an average of the last 5 trading days?
Happy to be corrected.
Why rapidly dwindling? UJO keep a tight rein on costs in DB's own words in a recent interview.
To be fair to him, he calls most things correctly, is very upfront, says what he believes, whether you like it or not, and is more honest than plenty of 'upstanding members of society.'
What part of David Bramhill's history should we be concerned about?
Mr Bramhill has over 40 years experience in the natural resources industry. Mr Bramhill has directed and managed several energy companies and was the former managing director of OilQuest Resources plc, subsequently acquired by EnCore Oil plc. Mr Bramhill was an executive director at the time of Nighthawk Energy plc’s AIM flotation in March 2007 and a non-executive chairman of Wessex Exploration plc when that company floated on AIM in March 2011. He resigned from these companies in 2010 and 2012 respectively. Mr Bramhill had previously consulted in an engineering capacity for over 20 years on projects for Shell, ExxonMobil, Petrofina, BP and numerous other international energy companies.
Horse Hill, Brockham and Lidsey – and acquire them for Angus.
“I then brought Paul Vonk on board in order to manage the business side of the company.
“He had extensive experience in the financial and deal-making side of oil and gas, whereas my own expertise was in getting dirty and actually drilling.”
The first of the sites to make any major progress was Horse Hill.
“I drilled the first well there in September 2014. We came back to it again in 2016 to flow test at the point where we had record flow rates for an onshore UK drill.
“Angus then sold out of the Horse Hill well, which was a shame because it is a great asset. I still regret this.
“However, it was necessary at the time because we were able to raise money to list on AIM and to concentrate on Lidsey and Brockham as a publicly traded company.
“Things got off to a good start with the successful drill of another oil well at Brockham.”
Tidswell-Pretorius is now confident that 2019 is going to be an extraordinary year.
“The company is set to become a technical partner on several big and exciting ventures, we will unveil those details shortly.
“It has been a helter-skelter journey with Angus over the last two years – particularly in the last six months.
“However, I am confident that we now have the right team in place both at board and operational level for a spectacular path forward.
“All being well, shareholders will see results to be cheerful about in the near future.
“I certainly hope so, since I am still a pretty significant shareholder myself!”
Could any fundraising be related to things mentioned in this article?
Jonathan Tidswell-Pretorius, founder and operations director at Angus Energy, has told the London Economic that “aggressive” development plans are underway in what looks set to be an exciting year for the energy company.
The spotlight fell on Angus Energy last year when a ‘boardroom putsch’ installed George Bingham, the eight Earl of Lucan, at the head of the company.
“My general meeting request threw the company into a degree of turmoil but the matter was quickly settled following former CEO Paul Vonk’s resignation,” said Tidswell-Pretorius.
“In the long run I am confident that people will agree that it was a necessary step and in the best interest of all shareholders.”
Tidswell-Pretorius says that the company is now driving ahead with gusto.
“I am now back in charge of the drilling team and I am confident that we will be able to come back and make a success of fresh tests at Brockham Well and Balcombe.”
Well-publicised issues with planning permission at Brockham placed a national spotlight on the company.
“An article on the front page of The Times was not something I expected to to be facing,” said Tidswell-Pretorius.
“That obviously delayed the company trajectory by almost 18 months, I take my fair share of responsibility for this.
“There is now a new board in place at Angus Energy and the company is returning to an even keel.
“We will be able to achieve a lot more in the rest of 2019 than we have been able to do in the last couple of years in total.”
National headlines were also generated following the appointment of the eight Earl of Lucan as Angus Energy’s executive director.
“He is a fabulous asset,” said Tidswell-Pretorius. “Two of the big things that George Lucan is very keen on are corporate governance and investor communications.”
“The first task is naturally a slow-burner but I think that he has already significantly improved Angus on our comms. “George has certainly given me permission to communicate non-market sensitive information to shareholders via social media.
“I know he intends that official communications should now be much more detailed and frequent going forward.
“George has also re-empowered me back in the role that I am good at – the operations side of the company.
“Under my guidance, Angus will conduct a second extended well test at Balcombe – as soon as we get approval to do so from the HSE and OGA.
“With all the information that was learned from the September 2018 attempt I am confident that we will be able to report a much better result to shareholders this time round.”
Jonathan Tidswell-Pretorius started Angus Energy so he could do things independently after spending ten years working for others on global offshore and onshore oil rigs.
“By saving up my offshore earnings and getting private investment from others I was soon able to identify some prospective UK onshore

Angus gets permit approval for appraisal but not production
BY RUTH HAYHURST ON DECEMBER 20, 2018
In a briefing issued today, the Environment Agency (EA) said Angus had complied with three pre-conditions to an updated environmental permit.
But the EA said one of the pre-conditions, PO 01, on a gas management plan, had been split into two parts.
This pre-condition had been approved for appraisal on 11 December, the EA said. But it added:
“We have not yet approved PO 01 for the production phase”.
The other preconditions, on acid wash and hot oil treatment of the well, were approved yesterday and today, the EA said.
Angus told shareholders yesterday it had begun the flow test programme at the site near Dorking.
I agree about the deflating experience of the discounted placing but ,as has already been stated, Angus have to demonstrate their financial strength to the Authorities before going ahead with the work at Brockham. If it means that the work progresses in a timely and safe manner for those on site and those living nearby, who will be monitoring events very closely, then if this it what it takes so be it. Hopefully much to look forward to in the near future.
Friends of the Earth tell lies routinely and are hypocritical - "I don't have a car. Can I have a lift in yours?"
Happy to accept £millions from The Postcode Lottery which is, after all gambling, and is a huge problem in this country. They are a business which pay pretty generous salaries. The top 2 get c£150,000 between them.
I bet none of them would like 4 people causing a nuisance/obstruction for 85+ hours disrupting their everyday lives.
It all goes back to Mr Goebbels and the bigger lie principle. Just think if Goebbels was alive today - he'd make a fortune out of social media.
Makes me laugh too, when I see Kathryn McWhirter's comments about the dogs barking. Where I live one dog does it all the time whenever you walk past the house. I bet she didn't walk or cycle to Spain or Portugal to research about wine - no she went by good old car or plane. And doesn't she understand that alcohol consumption is not good for the body.
And look at the photos of the wine event in Balcombe - marquees galore made out of plastic, derived from oil.
What does the Weald contribute to the UK energy mix? Not a lot given the lack of solar farms or wind turbines. I wouldn't mind so much if they agreed to do their bit instead of relying on others.
I'd send them all into space to collect the junk floating up there, leaving, of course, from Gatwick, which I bet Kathryn knows only too well.
Mr King might have replied promptly but what a lazy reply - as lazy as Jillian Ambrose's original piece.
Which source does he seek information from? None other than www.frackfreesussex.co.uk - you can't make it up!
He can't even bring himself to say that UKOG is not using hydraulic fracturing without putting in the clause ... (yet, protesters claim).
Yes, Mr King, it is significantly inaccurate or misleading to refer to "fracking sites", in context, because THERE WAS NO CONTEXT in the original article.
When you worked for BAT you probably talked about smoking-related deaths 'in context', the context that smoking involves inhaling a deadly cocktail of noxious substances.
If Jillian Ambrose is an example of the calibre of people being employed by this National newspaper in 2018 then it is clear that Fake news has already corrupted the Daily Telegraph.
Note too, the snide little comment on Jon Yeomans' Twitter page that the High Court injunction does not apply to the UKOG Head Office in Guildford.
I take it we can look forward to surfing of cars and buildings in that most genteel of English towns, slow-walking of UKOG employees or the age-old tactic of kicking in the front door.
It certainly doesn't take a genius to work out that the same protesters will soon be at Balcombe.
I suspect that King, Ambrose and Yeomans would only know the difference between conventional and non-conventional oil drilling if a fleet of fracking lorries turned up outside their homes and gave them a personal demonstration.
Funny too that Michael "Backstabber" Gove chose to reject the planning proposals at Leith Hill. It surely couldn't be anything to do with the fact that he is MP for Surrey Heath. Cover your own back Michael because a General Election could come at any moment in the next 6 months.
Have watched 2 Council meetings in the last 5 months - the other involved Lancashire County Council deciding whether or not to close a school. Never ceased to be amazed at the wide gap in competence of elected Councillors. The seismic issue has been hyped up over the last 3 to 4 days, even making The Times - not what it used to be - and it clearly swayed 3 or 4 of those Councillors, even though the Cuadrilla seismic event involved hydraulic fracturing.
Of the public objectors, the older lady made many points related to planning whilst the other 3 mainly concentrated on the seismic activity.
The fragrant Adrianna/Ada clearly opted for the stylish but understated look - I suppose temperatures have moderated somewhat over the last 24 hours.
The Chairman was very pointed at the end towards Angus Energy - clearly a warning shot across the bows. He highlighted the You Tube videos that Paul Vonk has appeared in but failed to mention the considerable negative publicity emerging on social media from the anti fossil fuel brigade which oil companies have to deal with.
No wonder UK Plc is 1.8 trillion £ in debt.
What Paul Vonk actually said was ... "the only thing that we are going to do now is basically switch the wells on that we drilled and that's going to happen over the next few months."
