no news or explanation for the continued drop. could it be that ****logy is costing a fortune with little return ? anyones guess.

Looking across other sites nobody seems to have any idea what is going on with Oxb ! Even the likes of Vulpes obviously have no idea as their investment has been clobbered.

Hi Kern, Keep looking in but still out..it’s certainly a slow burner and as you so rightly point out news is very scarce. Just sitting back and nursing my summer losses access the board. Doing virtually no buying or selling at the moment but instead just drip feeding into stocks and share ISA’s. Hope you are well. It’s just seems to be one step forward and two steps back…

Funny how the share price never rises on a brokers recommendation but always falls on a glum re-rate. Someone making money this morning..

I have a few trusts which include Baillie Gifford which I drip feed into but not sure who is running the BG funds as they are a disaster. My other companies are doing reasonably well. Will probably sell the BG and cut my losses.

Chid…I agree. The pi never wins with a buyback. If a company is well run the sp should increase accordingly regardless of a buyback. It is deemed by many commentators as a lazy way for companies to spend excess cash and make it look as though they are doing something ! That debacle a couple of years ago by Aviva was sold as money from heaven but left the pi no better off as well. The company is in a good position but the sp unfortunately is treading water.

On a positive note it’s a share I don’t lose any sleep over…

It’s now a decent Divi but the sp is going nowhere..every broker rating is miles ahead of the sp ! Sure you can get 5% in numerous savings accounts so 7% ain’t that special if the sp goes nowhere.

Another 300 million completed. ‘Aviva’, let that be an end to it now ! Buybacks do little for the pi, give us a nice Divi instead. Been a bumpy ride for the past couple of years with little reward..

Might have to wait for the next set of results to see if the claims come to fruition. Not the worst set of results but could have done with something more substantial to properly bolster the sp and stop this never ending decline ! Not hopeful enough to average down yet.

Divi’s normally show up around lunchtime on the day. The Divi reinvestment is generally early the following day. The Lloyds Divi was due today and is already in my account so the auto Divi reinvestment may take place today..

I’m not a great fan of buybacks. Does very little for the pi but always suits management .

Some are quicker than others. I have Aviva in my Halifax share dealing account and it’s usually early afternoon before the Divi appears.

My biggest holding and all in an Isa so just go for the Divi reinvestment. I believe the sp is on the low side at the moment but isn’t everything! Don’t need the money so I am reasonably happy to buy at this price. No sleepless nights.

Happy if the sp remains in the doldrums until after the Divi reinvestment…getting positive broker ratings but fairly stagnant as of late.

That was yesterday’s rise, but todays drop unfortunately. Hard to make money at the moment. Treading water with some shares and funds and hoping to make up the loss on others. G.l

Alliance News) - Oxford BioMedica PLC on Tuesday reported a drop in annual revenue and swung to a loss, as a result of lower volumes and higher costs.

The Oxfordshire, England-based gene and cell therapy group posted revenue of GBP140.0 million in 2022, down from GBP142.8 million a year ago. It swung to a pretax loss of GBP46.0 million from a profit of GBP19.9 million.
And it’s up nearly 3% ?. Go figure

The pi’s have been shafted. This is going private and there will be no giveaway Divi. Why take it private and give a generous Divi ? The share price is of no consequence now as it won’t be listed soon. As for dealing in a few months you will get a pittance per share if your broker can find a buyer ! I found this on two occasions many years ago. This is often a problem with an aim share with a small free float.
Those who are in now or with a very low average could hope for a bounce but I wouldn’t hold my breath..
