Back in early 2016 I was spooked into selling my investment in Glencore at a slight loss (my break even was 90p) because there were so many derampers on this site's Glencore page saying they were about to go bust. Now look at them!!!

They won't have locked up £100k without doing a lot of checks and being happy there's a good chance it'll grow. Also you're assuming there's hundreds of muppets out there willing to throw away money given they're raised £2.5m. Your views just don't make any sense and I can't be bothered to respond anymore!

I think you could sell now and as long as you owned the shares and you’re on the register on 2 July then you can exercise the existing shareholder warrant. It’s the same with dividends. I sold a junk of Fresnillo shares before the dividend was paid but after the date you needed to be on the register. I still got the dividend in full.

Yes you’re right of course. You can get the same number of shares and half your money back but your shares are tied up for a year. I think I’ll keep my shares and then exercise the warrant in full to double my holding for 0.8p/share.

The more I look and contemplate this deal the more I like. £2.5m raised, an investor with deep pockets, warrants tied up for a year to stop people cutting and running, shares at 0.8p available to those invested as at 2 July which presumably means I could sell my shares at 1.625p now and then buy them back at 0.8p - what’s not to like??!!

The derampers will be trying to get it down to 10p soon!!!

Sorry I just realised that existing shareholders will be able to purchase warrants (new shares) at 0.8p up to the quantity they already owned. In which case I’m very happy!!! 😊

@Emiraati - my understanding is shareholders as at 2 July will also have the option to buy up to one share for each existing share at the price the Qataris got.

That's based on the LSE closing price of 1.22p/share and 452.1m shares in issue as per this article.

Shame I haven't got much of that 3.5 times increase in mcap!!!

There are now about 450m shares so the market has rerated this from about £1m mcap to about £4.5m on current share price. It's a great deal for new shareholders who got a 27% discount. For us existing share holders we've got nothing yet as the share price hasn't moved. Do we get a vote on whether to approve this deal?

So this has an mcap of £3.35m now.

Muted market reaction. Seems like a lot of sellers.
