I understand that UpShunt is upset over the length of time he has held these shares and not realising how long it takes to develop these things in a “normal” jurisdiction, let alone frontier markets.

But I also thought he was going to be more based in reality and less emotional in his criticisms.

Magic - it’s a big concern for those downstream that the water for the Nile is controlled by a foreign nation power.

In Egypt, it brings food, employment, tourism, farming, drinking water, water for industry etc.

They are rightfully very worried about the future where water becomes more scarce.

But the good news is that there’s no appetite for military intervention.

Which was picked up on by the loons, and trotted out as a project risk.

The corporate structure makes a lot of sense - you can’t dilute parties involved at a project level to raise funds for projects elsewhere they’re not involved in and change the terms of their engagement.

You can sell a stake in a project with an in country subsidiary if you wanted.

You can isolate individual projects to improve terms from one to another, maintaining more equity and having fewer royalties.

You can also talk bollo**s about “risk this” and “risk that” to try and take shares off people who (sadly for you) know well their value.
