Like many investors I am anticipating good things for Sound in the foreseeable future. This has lead me to look for scraps of positivity as I await for the good times to roll. The reality is that the next few weeks are likely to be barren with no real news and the share price hopefully staying stable in the meantime. I have my own thoughts on timescales but wondered if the more long termers on this board have an opinion when the bond issue is likely to be addressed which seems to be the main stumbling block in allowing us to move in the direction to first gas?

Indeep yes it looks like the SP is stabilising. I think we may be in for a period of non activity for a little which is obviously frustrating but as you say the news will start to flow the nearer we get to first gas or stabilising the funding. Let’s hope the price really takes off so those long suffering investors who have averaged down will be in a position not only to get their money back but make some as well. None of us know where the SP will be this year or the year after but I have a good feeling that the company will come good before very long.

Tincan It was my understanding that sound has been granted the license for the pipeline now the environmental studies have been completed.
I appreciate that the pipeline will cost a lot of money to complete and we would need considerable investment partners to make this happen but surely this is another revenue stream in future as the pipeline will link up to the European grid and any other producer in the area who would like to use it would be charged transportation costs. Opening up a supply route to the Euro grid would open up new markets for the gas and give options for greater revenue streams not only for Sound to exploit but also other producers who would then have to pay Sound and it’s partners for the privilege.

Y@s given the current position not going to hit 1 p. More likely to stay around where it is now in my opinion. Remember as we have just seen it’s still capable of over a 20 percent rise in day at these levels.

Indeep this is true so I normally go by sounds website price which closed on 2.71 only down just over 1 percent.

Crystal ball no reason for the SP to drift back to 1p. It is a frustration that it is still not stabilising as you would think given the company position it should be sitting between 3 and 4 p. Again the large rise on Friday was unexplainable so it’s no surprise it is down today.

Sounder I feel the same. Although the bond and financing is always going to be a concern especially as we are not generating revenue at present, we must also not forget that the closer we get to first gas then the less likely we are to fail.

Indeep I think there are lots of investors who have identified the big swings and are purely investing for short term gain. As you say with no news just as likely to fall on Monday but hopefully not. With a bit of luck next year the share may grow more sustainably and rise enough to give you a worthwhile retirement fund.

Biggest SP gain for a while. A reason for some positivity perhaps?

Pduk nothing wrong with posting about a 9p prediction from an analyst. To invest heavily in a share you do not need to know all of the history going back over 4 years especially as in this case there is a new board, new agreements being negotiated and a plan to get to gas in the next year or so. I do appreciate that the history of the last board and the legacy that they have left has had its shortcomings but my investment here is based not so much ch on the past but where we are now, the plan moving forward with the current directors in place which I believe in hence my investment. I was merely enquiring what specific reason the share price rapidly rose but perhaps some of the long termers might still be kind enough to give an answer..

Hi looking at the 5 year share graph can some of the longer term holders explain what happened between May 2016 when the share price was just above 15p to September 16 when it went up to over 90p ?

Pduk. Yes we should not take these forecasts as always accurate but remember that James Parsons is no longer here and the forecast no doubt reflects this. I know it’s only 1 rating but it sounds about right to me given where we are and still better than some analyst predicting 1p and no future?
