In his heart I don't believe trump is against going green, but is against being one of few countries going green. Last night he stated that other countries are throwing pollution into the atmosphere and you can't build a wall to keep it in. It spreads out and invades the US. In effect he said why should the US Go green when others aren't. If that attitude help getting global agreement that's not a bad thing.

It did not tumble until a few hours after Trump said it and platinum did not correspondingly spike up( catalytic converters).

As I was watching it and heard him make that statement I was wondering what Musk was thinking. It is up to musk to improve his electric cars enough to make the punters want them instead of fossil fuel cars. If others beat him to it so be it.

Most of the time the top 5 Aim gainers each day tend to be microcaps with very risky looking fundamentals. Anyone checking out the top 5 on Stocko should easily see the green signals for JLP and see the estimated increased revenues and net profits for 25(279&24m dollars) and 26(319&38m dollars). A no brainer, but they might wait for a pull back before jumping in.

JLP has just got to no. 5 on the Stockopedia FTSE all share Aim top 5 gainers list. That should help publicity and get a few new buyers.

I wasn't being an Uber bull when I stated I thought Roan was not kept off long term because the levels had started to rise and I thought power would be stable but rationing must have affected Roan or maybe JLP was being Uber cautious, which is good. I believe a turnaround is near so bought more at 3.35p at 8.01 am. Fingers crossed.

You seem to be inferring that power to Roan was stopped and that the market is waiting for an RNS to say it has been started again.

A progress update for half year to 31 Dec is expected by end January. If they cared about the current SP tumble going on I would have thought they would have scrambled around for the past 9 days getting key update information and , if good, published a precis of progress stating a full report will follow. That info could even be given in a Roast.

However, if they just don't care or the progress is mediocre then I guess they won't.

The logistics of being able to charge electric cars seems to be one of the factors holding them back but with hydrogen there would be fuel stations similar to current stations although I doubt you would be able to refill yourself. Safety is a concern of course due to the flammability of those pesky little H2 molecules.

Markets normally react a few years ahead of expected developments, the reason for recent copper and platinum rises?

Copper and platinum have been rising nicely recently. Good luck to BMW and their planned production line of hydrogen cars in about 5 years time. Should be good for both platinum and copper I think but I am not aware of their technicalities (fuel cells - platinum etc). Best of both worlds for copper and platinum and I assume they will just have smaller batteries than current electric cars. Does anyone know more more facts on hydrogen car plans?

You comment that it has been raining in Zambia and yes JLP have not commented on power stability for Roan. Zambezira site shows however that the lake level at 6 Jan is 2.5%, up 0.5% over the past week or so. It is now going in the right direction now so power instability should be a thing of the past until next dry season.

So, bought some more at 3.63 this week but with some concerns as this continual fall seems ominous. I take heart in the fact although the P/E is 22 Stocko shows estimates of big increases in profits for 2025 and 26 along with PE ratios of 5.4 in 25 and 3.83 in 26. Alas forecasts fell a bit over the last couple of months. Their traffic light system shows a lot of green. Of course there will be those who say I'm a mug putting my faith in Stocko but it has served me well over the past year or two.

Last December I noted the Roast stocks for 2024 in my calendar to check at end 2024. Did it today, only about 20% went up in the year! So much for Roast, (a paid PR company).

Most holders would accept 16p now to stop the pain, but hopefully not in 3 months time.

At last Zabezira.org is reporting that the fall in levels has reversed 5 days ago and level has risen 0.5% since. Hopefully power supplies will stabilise.
