I would imagine a large number of jumps before news unfortunately. Never a fully sealed ship in big deals like this.
No movement, 10 trades and no chat!?!?!? Are we alive?
I disagree. I think that the board have been given lowball offer that AA have been hoping they would get it on the cheap. They’re now waiting for whatever counter offer the Chinese and others bring in so they can give marginally more than that. They don’t want to pay top price, just enough to get it, hence the end of the EA. Timeline will Just depend how much info the other companies have had access to during the EA.
They wouldn’t announce it as that would give competitors a guide of minimum bidding. It’s better to not let anyone know and have others give best offer, according to their research.
No, I think it’ll rally towards the afternoon. The RNS has only updated us that we are now taking rival bids. A Chinese company already said they wanted it, surely they will now have all the same research and details as given to AA, if not already had been given. This would then result in an offer pretty soon, as well as an RNS for voting on. No way they’ve been sitting about relying on AA only without prep in the background. Big players will know this and be buying on the fear from small time investors.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it finished blue today. AA still bidding, now others with option to bid.
Very quiet on here for how close it is to potential news…..
Surely a no deal would have been announced previously, having the Chinese offer on standby would mean AA can’t afford to let the timeline slip! Friday after hours rns or Monday 07:00?
What’s the cut off date exactly?
I never put any credence on the rumours of Tesla being involved in EUA, however, came across this today:
https://www.business-humanrights.org/es/%C3%BAltimas-noticias/russia-arctic-peoples-appeal-to-elon-musk-for-nornickel-boycott/
Along with the fact that Musk is currently in Russia, has a relationship with the Russian government and is currently making deals for the opening of a Tesla factory in Russia, maybe there's more there than previously thought.........
Looking on investors web they’re claiming the free float is still a whopping 83%!?!?! That seems very high, anyone have a better site?
Who are the big65? Not seen the term before
Does anyone know the breakdown of who has what shares?
Very much seems like large buys are happening regularly and if they’re from the same person or organisation, would it be feasible for them to get over 50%?
Nearing 2bn in volume today
GR can have all of mine for 10p and sell them on for 25p happily
Let’s go full optimistic and say there’s been a surprise offer to buy all assets at 10p/share.
Coming up on 1bn in volume today!
18m shares traded this morning, is that correct?
Another 16 hours of nothing worth reading but internal abuse without purpose...........
Or......... They have been told that since they got a part of the Rosgeo option during the sale process, the buyer will pay way more if they secure the whole thing and then sell the lot to them. I.E. they had offered £2.17 that I had expected previously, then Rosgeo appeared, they countered with "we'll up this to £5 if all the extra mines are sold with it!"
