Hey Dominey... you really do have a thing about this support ship don’t you ;-) ... She’s VOS Prime. A support ship on standby at the moment. But has shown certain previous systematic tracks a week or so back, consistent with walk away VSP shooting. Only a theory mind, but if you look at her history on the 17th / 18th combined with walkaway VSP theory, there’s a striking resemblance! Again I’m no expert. But this is my view of those particular couple of days. Aim4 might be able to offer further insight on this as he’s the marine man here as far as I can tell ?
WT... I don’t expect to taken seriously. I have never pretended to be an expert, and certainly wouldn’t want anyone to take action based on my posts here. If you’d prefer that I, or anyone else refrains from posting on here unless they have concrete proof and justification of their contribution to this board, then this will be a very quiet place indeed. I for one have enjoyed the speculation, the positive attitudes, and to some degree even the pessimistic views of others for the last few weeks.
Ok... I concede that. So with your assumption that they reached TD and shot a VSP to derisk further drilling, and with the time that has elapsed between then and now with no news, do you think they continued to drill further ?
I second the VSP on the 17th... But this might have been to get an understanding of the geology for further drilling into the next target. All positive though. Why spend money on testing when you have no confidence in what you’re testing for !!!
WT... I respect your posts on here, unlike some others. But I don’t see any harm speculating what the price might be given any number of outcomes regardless of having any justification or not. Providing you clearly state that it’s only an opinion. It’s surely up to the individual whether they act upon the ramblings of others on here ( me included ) It’s clear from the volume alone that nobody knows what the heck is going on ( apart from Oilbell of course ;-) ) Loose lips sink ships. As far as I can tell, this is tighter than a duck’s 4rse
Both previous dusters RNS on a Monday 7am.... Still think it will be Monday morning, but news of a discovery this time. Then the market will have all week to adjust... 40-50p then back to 25-30p the following week... A little confidence restored to shareholders, then providing Larry doesn’t dump on us again, a good pre spud and subsequent rise into Namibia, reaching 50-60p pre results. Then if by some miracle Namibia proves successful, anything North of £1 is likely !!! I’m in for the long ride. Been holding since Nimrod and Tapir where I, and a lot of us long term holders got a double kick in the nuts. You’d have thought we’d have learnt our lesson by now. But alas not !! Perseverance will prevail... Eventually. I certainly like the look of this drill and the waiting can only be a good thing. As previously stated, if there was nothing but mud in this hole, we’d have known by now... All my views and based on nothing but a good feeling. My perogative and nothing more...
So.... Now I could be way off, so please correct me if I’m wrong, but after a quick search online, In the UK, which is the worse case scenario, you can expect to take about $25 per barrel after processing. Or nearly £18 at today’s exchange rate. Multiply by a modest 60 million barrels = £1.08bn market cap, divide this by shares in issue (365m) you get a SP of 295p .... That can’t be right.... can it ???
Does anyone know what we can expect as profit from a single barrel of oil once you take off taxes and expense to get it out of the ground. Is there a rough percentage ? I know it’s expensive in the uk compared to other areas. Oil is currently around $69 per barrel.
I don’t think we’re gonna see this break 13p and incidentally the placing price before we get positive confirmed results. I’ve seen more life in my dog than the SP here since spud, and he’s been dead 7 years !!!
