Why the dollar should go up is a mystery, after all the debt in the USA is only 28 trillions of dollar backed by nothing else but debt and sooner they will be adding other few trillions of this green pile of shi.e.

Carvegyber the rumour is for 4 new trillion dollars infrastructure bill focus also on climate change.
In the climate change I bet there will plenty of solar panels and electric cars infrastructure. Happy days for commodities in general and of course inflation.

Mints not coping with demand SLV dropping and PSLV increasing, inflation on the way up and a new round of stimulus in the USA to build new infrastructure being discussed, that of course would benefit commodities and increase inflation (see article below).

Let's hope that commodities can carry on with the same upward trend of last year. To be honest , I struggle to understand why not.... We had plenty of stimulus, in the last few years which lead to recovery in some sectors which lead to real inflation, not the cacca inflation that the central bankers wants to sell us. Surely sooner or later commodities will break up on the upside leaving behind these market distortions such as the bond yields. Commodities in the past have always been the best hedge against inflation. By the way, last night I heard that another stimulus in the USA might be underway at some stage. This new stimulus is to improve US infrastructure that is coming to the end of the design life....Guess what a new wagon of inflation on its way:-)

Thanks for your message and I agree totally with you about cash being the safest course of action near retirement. Currently already sitting on cash and waiting for opportunities and or the inevitable crash that at some stage time will occur.

O/T Not being far off of retiring age, I keep looking at pension funds all in bonds, they went up quite a bit last year but they have taken a severe beat lately.
I can see that they might still be depressed especially id the yield reach 1.8..., but surely at some point they might be a good buying opportunity. Any views ?

DN, I share your same feeling. It looks like the big 8 did not have enough silver to deliver.
