its selling its loss making industrial gearbox division to concentrate on wind turbines. Japanese company Sumitomo Heavy Industries has offered €75m for Hansen Industrial Transmissions (HIT) and the board of Hansen has accepted, subject to the successful completion of the employee information and consultation procedure. Hansen Industrial Transmissions accounts for 16% of total group revenues. It generated revenues of €83m in fiscal 2010 and €94m the year before that. Gross assets of the industrial gearbox activities as of 31 March 2010 were €116.5. Loss before tax for fiscal 2010 was €4.2m after €2.6m restructuring costs. The proposed transaction requires the Hansen plant in Edegem, Belgium, to be restructured before completion, a process that may lead to a headcount reduction in Belgium of up to 125 employees out of a total HIT headcount of 730 in seven countries worldwide (514 in Belgium). The costs of this restructuring will be borne by Hansen. Proceeds from the sale will be used to reduce debt. If the transaction goes ahead Hansen will discontinue its wind turbine gearbox activities in the Edegem plant which will reduce its manufacturing capacity by 1,100 megawatts (mw) to 7,600mw. This reduction in capacity will help reduce the level of over capacity in Hansen Transmissions' remaining facilities and is reflective of the continued volatility and uncertainty in the global wind energy market, the company said.

hardly like a stone mate.... remember this has been rising since the 280's so bound to be profitakers along the way.... depends on your own strategy.... whether you like to sell & lock in profits hoping to get back in on a dip.... or hold longer term if the fundamentals are solid/ y ou believe in them.... each to his own really ... Cant see any new news to warrant a drop as such ! GL

profits had slipped but revenues & orders were up ( as was the dividend) .... i guess its the proposed cuts in spending that is depressing the price here ?
wouldnt want to predict mate ! Lots of figures coming out this week & could push market up or down who knows.. CSR have their cash pile so longer term still ok I guess... there are new fears about CSR’s ability to win back market share in the smartphone market with its new product set ...broker targets around the 400p mark (Panmure downgraded to 500 from 620)............. GL
Its good news mate ! CSR has launched a $50m share buy back and this has pushed it to the top of the TechMARK performers. It had cash in the bank of $429m at the end of June 2010 so this buy back won’t put much of a dent in that cash pile.... CSR says it still has the finance to make acquisitions and to grow the business. Third quarter figures will be published on 27 October.
moved to 34 at close ?
