Andybe it is going to be a horrendous 6 months ahead! The huge increase in flu cases, the increase in covid cases. People not turning on their heating which will result in more respiritory issues!! Absolutely right its going to be horrrendous!!

A Director has £50,000 in their bank, the director decides he would like to make more money on top of his normal renumeration (director are also people who like to make money). The director buys £50,000 of shares knowing there is a deal on the table that due to an increase in share price could convert that £50,000 into £500,000 this is why you will see Directors buying into their own companies!
They are also money hungry!

You surely know the answer to this.
They are working on finalising a trial and or JV, thus no director would be able to buy at the moment as they would have information that would be deemed to be insider trading as this information was not public.
So the fact no directors have brought in when the share price is low is encouraging as it means they are working on something that is market sensative!

In fact a rather good update, as written by yourself!

Then perhaps grow a pair and at the next AGM turn up and discuss your views with them! As opposed to before the last AGM for a period of over a month threatening what you will do to the board and telling everyone to rise up and get the pitch forks ready!
But that again would mean you would need some shares to attend.
Perhaps next year you can go in my place and fulfil your destiny of telling the board all your views. Alas even if this was offered to you you would not attend.
