‘I haven't seen this kind of situation either but the dilution itself doesn't mean it goes from 27p to 22p as the extra money 'should' offset the impact of the extra shares.

For similar reasons the investor is probably not going to change their mind simply because the sp has fallen. They are buying in at 27.6p and this extra money (with the other measures highlighted) should guarantee survival for at least a year albeit in a weakened position.

The argument that they could just choose to buy instead on the open market at a similar or cheaper price doesn't hold water as buying that amount would be tricky and would push the price up making it more expensive probably to complete (as others have mentioned). Also though doing this does not provide extra funds so does not help the company at all so they would be getting a 15% stake in a company that will probably not survive 12 months rather than 15% in a company that probably will. I know which I'd rather choose.

In short the investor is putting up $27m of extra funds because at that price (27.6p) they think it is worth it - what the sp does in the meantime shouldn't really change that, though of course plenty of other things might (like a BTC crash etc.).‘

MM look like they were targeting stops to get the volume of stock needed. It’s been 48 minutes and this is a hugely overdone reaction. Let’s get all the negative posts out of the way as now those posting have presumably bought in now or else they were simply here to gloat and wasting their own time with endless posts here. Let’s see what the next few hours bring but a big bounce back looks likely imho! I also suspect PW will be giving a reassuring update on social media too. I don’t think he will stay quiet it’s not his style.

These guys have been here all weekend whereas genuine investors have had a nice weekend doing other things unlike nugget munching spreadbetters and wanna be shorters who have desperately been really putting in the time here trying to convince all and sundry that Argo is doomed. This action was taken by the board preemptively during a global crisis not if their making lol and has secured 27 million dollars and 2 seats bringing directors with strength and experience in this industry. BTC due to go on a run soon. Hey lads if this stock is not for you here’s an idea stop wasting your time telling us all not to invest and simply don’t invest yourself. We can take it from here we are all grown up big boys now.

Flower that’s unfair comment and the whole funding of 12 months is not being spent on PPA ffs
Fact is we are in unprecedented temporary times and everyone is more than willing to work with PW and ARGO to restructure temporarily as we navigate global crises. 27 million is huge confidence in the company. I have confidence in the company so if you don’t suddenly now have confidence & are wholly short sighted despite these strong measures, then sell up but others will snap em up from you.

What would you suggest they do or should have done?

PW is most certainly not having a laugh and neither is the institutional investor who is willing to put down 27 million dollars. They also have other options if you listen but this investor also brings targeted experience and strength to the BOD. ARGO are now fully funded for next 12 months even if hash rate in near term is reduced they still have the ability obviously to increase it as time goes on. Whilst we are in a bear market and suffered like many the consequences of these global crises, the war in Ukraine and the ending of such has picked up the pace. We are now seeing opinion that war will finish by Xmas that was before the strategic Crimea bridge was blown up too. So in midst of all of this BTC is supposed to be an alternative to fiat this should be springing soon an uptrend on BTC it’s certainly due if you look at charts regardless of surrounding economics. So we also have a profit share on the sold machines. We also mine other crypto. It is certainly not all doom and gloom that the many many posters rocking up here as they smell ‘blood’ and perpetuate and over dramatise the situation would have you believe as they seek to press buy at a lower level come next week.
PW would not have released the info if ARB weren’t sure that this was all indeed going ahead.
Calm down everyone ignore the trolling Fud here - if BTC turns soon very much back into 20’s next week they’ll all disappear and we will never hear from them again.
Many Directors have bought 20 x current price we have now - see this as an opportunity to buy and hodl ready for the next wave up.
We are in unprecedented times and I think it’s deeply unfair to pile on PW we now have a strong strategy in place and as he said himself it’s now …Onwards and Upwards!
