Oil still positive on the day, so a little surprised at this here today- must be still a few jitters in the market here. Surely a turnaround later today or tomorrow. I’m trying to switch off from it as ultimately it’s a long term investment. GL all

Yes me and you both were always thinking we’d get a bigger divi here sooner than later and I now think this looks very positive we will, be very very interesting when we next hear from the bod

What a day, I can only put it down to blind panic selling leading to an over done drop- didn’t help Dow dropped a fair bit but clawed it’s way up somewhat. Hold the faith, I can see it climbing up tomorrow although even if it stagnates I’d expect people may pile in here for results which are just around the corner. GL all

Who did? What have I missed here? It’s nice to truly know who the whales are! - although it’s hard to know truth with anything like this. Make investments on your own thoughts and ideas , read and take advice here but be cautious is what I’d say really. Really hoping for a 4 % rise here this week, like a % a day type thing, thinking volumes may increase now with results approaching.

Yes great to see that and strong upward pressure back here again, it’s good to see markets moving forward in general out there today, lots of good news . Going to be very excited to read the results here at beginning of August.

Mojo , yes same here mate, when it hit 329 I thought it would smash through 330 and it didn’t!- ( always next time ) I nearly bought Glencore at 290 on your musings and didn’t and before I knew it, it was up strongly and I really regretted it. Happy enough to wait here now and results will be interesting.

Brent knocking on $75 again , Dow futures up 100 points , looks like this afternoon will give us a bounce again . Happy days GL all

Wti crude just went positive again, Dow futures up this morning. Not a bad start today here, was just a dip with some of the news yesterday. Results here will really move this up from is my belief and not long to wait now either.

The reason I believe is oil, continuing to gain and people buying in - in anticipation of good results coming soon and likely to be very good. GL all

Just out of interest I googled will BP raise dividend and this was first thing that came up….

Given its performance, I believe that BP will likely consider raising its dividend by the middle or end of Q1 2021. ... Therefore, with a 5.5% dividend yield, the potential price target could be $34.36 per share. That represents a potential upside of over 50% above today's price.11 Dec 2020

Maybe they’d just raise it a small amount before year end and then more next year or beginning of 2023 back to full dividend

I think it’s just that scince they wrote that plan, oil has been vastly higher than their estimates , I know they are using savings for renewable ventures but it’s nice to have hope about divi being raised and seems logical that it will be raised but the date on that will I guess be decided by BP. Always been an amazing divi payer BP

I can imagine divided increase must be going through his mind, it would benefit himself and staff so much aswell financially but yes maybe buybacks first and get them out of the way then onto divi. Be very interested in reading any updates as soon as they come out. Looking good here on a March upto 350 now. Rotation to value is still in play I’ve read. GL

WTI oil up 2.20 % , should see a nice rice going forward again, adr doing nicely. Wish I’d bought another load this morning haha

Usually_right. - usually wrong on this one anyway buddy in my opinion, that was the recent low in -this morning in my opinion, up from here again I think as oil is up and holding well, don’t forget buybacks have happened and that’s put a higher floor on the share price here. Results in August I think will take us over 350 in my opinion .dyor
