Any sensible targets here then? (30 p ) as looking like a recession all next year although Lloyds might benefit a bit from the higher interest rates which are coming imho.

Potentially with how volatile markets seem to be again now, it might just be a time to day trade again or swing trade. I think if you are buying stocks now, you need to be in a position that you can hold long term and see out any down turns that way. Imho dyor

It was clever of Driftking27 to call that this probably wasn’t the bottom loosely a while back. Although great dividend here world wide markets are selling off of late so I’m looking for more of a £40 ish entry point, which may take a while or might be quite soon depending on how quickly panic sets in etc and more selling. So many negative things at play here all at once. I see the ftse at under 7000 maybe 6500 ish again this summer imho . If we get a recession which seems very likely this will take care of inflation but profits will be down and commodity prices too- not sure if oil will drop (that’s a really complicated one at moment) Any thoughts? GL

As an idea what you could do is sell half your holdings here and put into Rio Tinto as that’s quite low at the moment and pays a divi . I still haven’t taken a position here , although I want to I think I’d be happier to wait now and see where oil prices settle at. Also I’m sure this share dropped through summer last summer? Although sp went up in April / May if I remember rightly. This is only an idea please dyor. GL mate

What’s exact dividend per share then? Is it definitely over 10 % at the moment now then?
Only concern is slow down and property slump in China and potential recession in Europe creating less demand near term but obviously essential commodity’s still need to some degree . Oil price has already created a drop in demand in U.S. I’ve heard this morning so lots of talk of Stagflation. Thoughts GL all

U.S. ( today ) talking about windfall tax on oil excess profits so not ideal so can see further downside today I’m afraid.

Yes an absolute bargain that!- will they even make any profit on that? Margins must be so tight on the sale deals. Another thing that’s not ideal I think some European ports are being cancelled I’m sure I read and that would have a knock on effect as less people book etc for fear of missing parts of the trip etc. High fuel costs and fuel costs will hit the profit margins too. I feel long term they will be ok but see 900 as a possible buy in target over next week or two. GL all

Just heard that myself on T.V. Madness now but that’s all speculation but there’s a chance . High oil, means recession generally in history so not a good thing at all.

Anybody think it’s worth a day trade? Seems to be just keep dropping. Saw a blip to .3810 but couldn’t buy quick enough then was back to nearly. .39 but doesn’t seem to be finding a bottom. Glad I held off last week, still think further fall’s going forward but maybe worth trading short term with the wild swings

Hardup. That’s the thing yes share price could be sub 40 p by then, maybe only a trading day away from it!- it so could go either way right now! Things very messy with War and it’s the topic of conversation with anybody you meet!

Yes interest rate rise will definitely help Lloyds short term but could depend if that starts struggling loan repayments but yes I think because inflation is way above where they want it they will keep rising rates slightly to help slow inflation as both scenarios create a slow down going foward anyway. Lloyds will definitely be ok going forward long term but I’m hoping the dividend keeps going and rises too as I’d like to hold here long term, I’m waiting to see how it starts next week ( markets etc )as missed a nice low to buy in today earlier. - seems way more selling than buying across the board today . FTSE lower than way before Christmas now! GL

Rates will be raised im absolutely sure of that although maybe only .25 but yes see rates going up all year they have to this is what they wanted to do so I really feel they will stick to the plan. IMHO

Considering a position here soon and also considering a cruise again- first one in 4 years I think it’ll be!!
Do they still give onboard spending money if you own 100 shares? Weighing up buying or waiting a little longer- normally bounces off this price but things may be different this time around- thoughts? GL all

Fair one, yes I need to look into it as was disappointing as longest share I’ve ever owned!! Along side SOLG , might just get my money back on them now gold going so high! They’ve just been up and down within a range for 10 years!! Yep I don’t touch aim now either. Am on sidelines here again but within next few weeks I’ll take a position or do some day trading, just feel it may be a little early yet considering War is just going from bad to worse! U.S. Bound to kick this right down later! IMO

I see you owned SQZ - I’m still holding some from 12 years ago ish - I think they did a stock split or something? As number I held is no longer the same! - so I got fu*kes basically- do you know what happened? Holding worth watching less now even though share price so high. Cheers ATB

Well I was gutted not to have bought Monday at 351 as would have been a very quick few percent but see back to recent lows again, still on sidelines but considering a position now but still feel everything has further to fall yet. Is anybody going completely to cash or are most holding through this storm . Awful news this morning, very worrying situation, just hope there’s a resolve soon
