Fleecy yes I’ve read a spread betting book and some make massive losses fast, probably more suited to absolute pros and need to be able to react or be at the screen all day. Long is what I’d rather be with shares and picking up a dividend

Does anybody day trade alongside there long term positions? Falky does SB but I’m not keen on that although probably keeps dealing charges right down

Interestingly Barclays is now cheaper than it’s September price but Lloyds isn’t! Lloyds holding up better at the moment. Still considering a position

Lti. Yes hopefully Corona virus will get weaker and weaker but it’s by no means gone and is no where near a common cold it’s still far more serious and has actually accounted for the first time in modern history of the average life expectancy dropping. Covid definitely not over yet and will be with us for years from everything I read.

Ok maybe 40 p seems a long shot today but in a few weeks it may well be the case. So gap at 44 p that could be a near term target if it slides, it was 42 p only back in September but that was before decent results

Correct, not keen as still overpriced considering all the geopolitical issues but on the flip side keen to be in Lloyds if I can get in at say 40 p. Time will tell. If war suddenly ends everything will motor up so I’ll have to be extremely quick to buy in that case if that situation arose. Out of interest when did you buy into Lloyds ?

Falky I agree the war is unfortunately getting worse and if that happens I can only see further drops across the board doesn’t mater what share it is! This could just be the start imagine another month of this and losing 1% everyday and that could be terrible for the share price!! I’m patient and can wait until I feel it’s time to buy

Yes share price looks weak at minute in my opinion- FTSE has risen but this is sat in a tight small range this morning, if Dow futures drop this will drop this afternoon, I’m keen to buy in but if it’s going lower I’d rather wait, it fell through support at 46p so where next?

Doesn’t seem to be finding support here this morning, could this slip below 45p today? Looking for another entry but at the right price- things only seemingly getting worse with the war so probably that will have an effect for a good while yet imho. Ideas please?

I’d be interested at about 45p but was watching Bloomberg and they saying banks will take a hit etc , if interest rates don’t rise now because of war that hits profits etc. Was gutted I didn’t buy at .4606 the other day but feel it my fall lower anyway now. Dow really dropping badly .

I can see Some people’s point if you are in a trade long term then hold if you can deal with the stress and not worry In a loss but for me I’d rather catch a proper bottom or see things improving and know it should start rising again. I feel personally for me it’s too early to buy and that’s just my opinion, I can be quite negative on the markets which has cost me previously but I’m realistic if I see a share trading at a 6 month low I’m more comfortable. Share price was lower in December but volumes were low and oil price lower but I still feel with $25 Bn write off the share price didn’t Truly reflect that.

Yes I want a good outcome for Ukraine and the world but it doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen quickly!- any views on how this may play out?

Apparently in history the bottom of the market is not seen as soon as war starts but a while after.- If this all goes on for months could share price just keep dropping? Or will there come a point when markets ignore it all and keep on the bull run? Trying to make sense of it? - ideas please?

FTSE futures lower, due to open sharply down so won’t help us here. I still think potentially sub £3 imho , apparently market lows are not seen straight away with war historically lows come a while into it all but rise again. GL all

Sub £3 open or not? Potentially there’s a small possibility but really not sure. Could not believe how the Dow bounced back the other day surely plenty of volatility to come despite high oil price

Caitlin1 . I do agree, can only drop further when US open and also no end in sight yet so may just keep declining if things escalate even more . I’ve seen a few shares bounce this morning but turn back down again. Awful situation for the innocent out there and terrible for share holders too
