Prefer the quiet bbs too...and ur absolutely right about oilers/miners....they may discover the goods but getting the goods commercial is another matter...hence majority are loss making. Trcs is good example if niche growing under radar stock. I first saw HAYT on 43 p and never bothered...its been incredible rise there! Well done for taking plunger!!!

Welcome mate...top top stock here....growing and expanding in new territories (Ireland, Australia etc). Niche service and strong financials...don't worry about trades. Would also be great if ur a Liverpool fan like me and cm??!!!!

Well its started a rise up to results it seems. Good company so will be interesting to see finals.

Hi mate. saw ur post on Financials GC...obviously SIM have a solid balance sheet...reflected in a high current ratio and high cash level compared to liabilities and so this backs up what Upside said regarding safety. One thing I recently learnt when studying financials (and I am no expert!!) is to look at how effectively a company uses its cash - maybe paying a dividend, acquisitions? they certainly have some good contracts and potential ones too will see how company goes from here.

agree mate...good order book too...from 7th Jan update: "the Group finished the year with a high quality order book up 25% at £3.0 billion (2012: £2.4 billion) of which over 90% is repeat orders, providing good long-term revenue visibility. In excess of £750 million of work has been secured for 2014 (2012: in excess of £700 million secured for 2013).

well results proved good imho. excellent cash generation marking a turnaround from last years loss, making a net profit this year. good free cash flow generation too.

very good cash generation from last finals. price to free cash flow very low...worth looking at.

seems very good little company. MOD contract too...looks good, small mcap and low share issue too.

Can see why this dropped on 5th December...half yearly profits were down on last year and if they continue same as H1, they will most likely be lower final year too. Will wait until finals are out before reviewing but balance sheet looks fine...disclaimer:I am no.expert and I have been wrong before!
