I feel your pain. Most of mine gets deleted so much so for a democratic chat forum.

I had 20k in BP at start of week. Had 40k in Lloyds which became ex dividend last Thursday. Sold on Monday afternoon and now have 60k in BP. Lloyds sp hasn't moved since I sold out. Bought extra bp at 305 and ex div it's still 310 nice. First time I ever switched my holdings to grab onto dividends. Let's hope it plays out in the long run also!

I did say (a post that was unnesccesarily deleted) that we should be over 360 this week. I reckon 390 by next week, 4 probably by end of month.

Thanks for the correction my mistake. I was looking on HL which was the worst performing shares today and clicked on national grid which has got ex div written next to it but it is false like you said. I apologise.

It is. But let's see if sp drops by 18p. National grid went ex div today paying 17p but only fallen by 7p.

It does feel like that way. However if you look at bp and shell also looks like it's been trading at a very tight range for last 3 days. I think all three are ready to breakthrough but its being held back due to covid resurgence (affecting oil price) and resurgence of climate protesters (yesterday news). If it wasn't for these factors I think quite a few UK shares were due to for upward price correction given the strong UK results season we just had.

I enjoy helping where I can. Won't have the answers to everything, however when it comes to financial lingo it's my day to day job in explaining things in simple terms. When I have a bit more time, I will be posting things on red it Hbr chat that would make sense to the average investor to understand certain concepts.

Zero change today, slight better than the majors. Good news for all oilers given brent 2% tumble today. Looks like markets are waking up that price of oil is so disconnected to the profitability of oilers. Probably helped by Saudi aramco huge profits to realise how undervalued oilers really are.

It is indeed pearls. HBR is the only oiler apart from cairns thats in positive territory today. Definitely 360 by end of the week if not more.

Please look at page 6 of 1 April presentation. Creditors share already in market. Eig "investors" lockin end in Sept 2021 and March 2022. They are investors like proper shareholders. Different risk appetite to creditors - they have a long term horizon. Would philkirk bought so many shares for only it to go down? Even he knows the lockin structure and timeframe? Don't try to scare people off. The fundamentals of the company are in tact. If you making your judgement that why HBR price has fallen its not because of ftse 250 inclusion its because all oilers are down by the same amount and in some cases worse. DYOR.

Eig investors aren't creditors like arcm were. You should them like long term shareholders - they were shareholders of chrsoar not creditors.

Given most oilers are down by more than 2%, hbr is doing pretty well in comparison.

Tesla Net income last qtr was 1.1b lol. They need 2000 qtrs to have a value of 2.2tril dollars, this is without discount. So far the earnings and market value is out of sync. And not everyone wants a tesla. Free delivery - its built into the price. Remember the adage nothing is free in life!

Falky USA stocks are way overvalued whereas UK stock way undervalued. Its all bs lol. Amazon net income is 7.5b dollars vs Lloyds 2.5b gbp. Amazon MC 1.7 tril dollars vs Lloyds 30b gbp. I do hate amazon as a company as its grabbing a share of every industry - department stores, streaming services, cloud computing, manufacturing goods, ai devices, space tourism, ebook readers, list is endless. But I'm at fault I buy from amazon, stream prime etc.

Company I can't stand is tesla. 2.2 trillion. How can they justify that price. Not everyone wants a tesla as an electric car lol. I have no intention of having one - as all car companies will have electric cars and most likely I'll go for BMW or an audi!

The other company who valuation is stupid is apple but I'll leave my rant for another day.

Guess which company is driving the dow Jones higher today - our enemy from yesterday Goldman Sachs 3.6% up today. Other banks in us up by 2.5%. Dj30 bully Apple is down by 1% - about time too as so overvalued.
