Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Steve - if we were in Administration then most likely a bid that covers debt would be accepted.
However, we have opened a data room, are inviting LOI and allegedly have a lot of interest. If us armchair geologists have worked out our Asset(s) and their worth then rest assured the oil companies in the USA would be miles ahead of us.
With the world the way it is, never before then now has their been a need for Carbon Capture, plenty of oil and all on friendly land.
Once/if we get an auction situation then anything can happen, for instance on the eve of the last soccer transfer window, Al-ittihad started at £50M for Mo Salah and kept upping their bid, with their last ditch effort at £250M, his value this summer is around £61M *(source sky sports).
Point being under the adrenaline of auction and bids incrementing in $250K blocks, anything is possible.
Pretty sure Stas the JV sniffing around for 15 months will want this Asset, we have to make sure if they do get it then a fair price is paid, only way is to get as many others involved as possible.
We can’t assume it will be done by others, 7 working days until deadline for LOI, holiday season over so we must ALL make a final push!
Evening team, we can all assist RBM & the legal team by doing our bit, below is the timeline
LOI deadline: 17th April
Qualified bid Deadline: 2nd May
Notice of Auction: 6th May
Auction: 8th May
We have 12 days to promote the hell out of this sale, remember the decision makers of the majors won’t be getting our emails, so we have to continually pestering the guys down the hierarchy chain so it moves upwards.
We can’t leave it all to Stas & Alfresco, we ALL have a duty, we should be going hell for leather from here on in.
IMO lloydy, all oil majors have a M&A department whose sole job is to find Assets out there.
If us guys think we know COPL then rest assured these guys will know more than us and well before we did.
40 year field life cycle, 993M barrels (approx) and Carbon Capture.
Plenty happening in our location and companies successfully extracting, I am sure all this won’t go unnoticed.
Morning all, plenty are contacting oil companies, great job particularly Stas 👍
Another possible avenue, the unsecured creditors list, it’s in their best interests to get the word out.
Remember guys, we only need two companies who really want the asset to kick off bidding war - these majors make around $16B profit a year, a few hundred million is tea/coffee money for them.
Morning all, below are the Oil Companies that have been contacted regarding the COPL sale.
If anyone can think off any others, GO FOR IT!
Anschutz
EOG Resources
Continental Resources
Devon Energy

Lloydy - bang on the money.
Let the Legal Eagles at CAG do their actions but we COLLECTIVELY must do our bit also.
PROMOTE, PROMOTE, PROMOTE the ASSET sale so everyone knows about it!
Leave no stone unturned, think outside the box, get the word out and let’s beat these Bar Stewards at their own game, this sale is not going to happen on the quite!
We are writing to oil majors so would prepare if nobody emails them until we have exhausted our list, we will let you all know who we contacted, after that it’s up to you guys.
Other then that feel free to contact media outlets, free publications, paid publications, O&G bloggers, facebook, twitter, HNWI, investment houses, hedge funds - just about anything you can think off that will get attention to our sale process.
After working tirelessly behind the scenes the CAG are pleased to announce the COPL website made by the group, which will be used to showcase the amazing assets COPL hold is now live.
www.copl-media.com
Please do not send the web address as an attachment on any emails to MAJOR OIL companies as the CAG have this in hand.
Apart from that, you have free rein to market the sale of the company EVERYWHERE!
Hope you all like it.
Two final notes, firstly, CAG will monitor this board so any website suggestions will be welcome.
Secondly, this is OUR investment and we have to assume we are on our own, so we need to maximise PR regarding the sale of COPL.
Think outside the box, contact media companies in the US, look at paid adverts, contact the creditors on the list for help as it’s in their interests, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
ANYTHING that will give us positive publicity and remember PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don’t assume others will do the above, we ALL have a duty!

Yes alfresco website is being built and almost there as we know time is off the essence. From what I have seen it’s far, far superior to anything COPL has produced.
As soon as it’s live someone will post link on here.
