Worth while listening to this presentation on why Mike is bullish for Uranium going forward Excellent for those new to the sector and trying to get their heads around it all Enjoy... https://youtu.be/gfvAIor53Ig
The company seems to have a good strategy and setting tho he up for the US buyers to come in which will hopefully push the SP higher
worth recapping on the Reserve base https://www.berkeleyenergia.com/salamanca-project-overview/mineral-resources/ It would be a major boost if BKY could increase their reserves over 100Mlb , Increasing Zona7 is the most likely increase although the two unnamed targets are exciting .. wonder what happened to Las Eras? If they could get to over 150Mib then in a rising Uranium market they could will be a takeover target
Agreed It's not climate controls that will kill coal but simple economics , Gas is much cheaper and will eventually kill coal whatever Trump Does. But what is does highlight is Trumps America first mentality . He will need energy security especially if he lessens relations with China and Russia . Securing stable uranium supply will be vital, I expect much will be done to help the US uranium companies and nothing to harm Canadian relations , but the US utilities will still demand uranium and so BKY is well positioned to supply if necessary , although with our ties to China I suspect done if our offtake will head that way as part of the strategic partnership
Explore new mines ? I'd be very surprised as Paul has always stuck to the line of being a very boring company with no expansion plans other than the Salamanca project area May well get some exieation update news soon plus other corporate changes and we head towards strat partner announcement in the coming weeks
June should hopefully be the start of a rich newsflow period as Strategic Partner negotiations conclude. CNNC are still extremely interested having I believe 17 people in the data room. With the massive Chinese reactor build program I would be very surprised if another entity outbid them.. but you never know. I expect the PR machine to crank up very soon
Nuclear power capacity worldwide is increasing steadily, with over 60 reactors under construction in 15 countries. Most reactors on order or planned are in the Asian region, though there are major plans for new units in Russia. Significant further capacity is being created by plant upgrading. Plant life extension programs are maintaining capacity, in USA particularly.
The consensus in states regarding uranium is that Japanese start ups will be the catalyst for uranium price increase http://www.world-nuclear-news.org/NP-Japanese-institute-sees-19-reactor-restarts-by-March-2018-2807164.html Whilst I agree to some degree I think serious price movement pressure will be from Chinese reactor start ups http://www.nextbigfuture.com/2017/03/china-will-complete-five-nuclear.html
https://seekingalpha.com/article/4058243-uranium-go-nuclear Summary 155 net more nuclear reactors in operation by 2035, a 35% increase. Significant supply deficit to occur in 2025, at least through 2035. Uranium is trading under its cost of production and is going to take off as supply fails to meet demand. Uncovered demand by utility companies is at a record low level, giving pricing power to producers.
Paul mentions an uranium ETF having issues , I'd imagine that is Global X ???
Just catching up on the BB and read ' all BKY's uranium to be sold on long term contracts ' Perhaps I've missed something but on the last conference call with PA that was not the plan at all in fact the aim was (once full production cranked up ) to have major exposure to spot ( up to 75% I recall ) Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong
A very interesting proposition . Subscription Shares are similar to warrants. With the potential for Uranium to spike these could carry some real value.
SS must be in well advanced discussions by now and the recent London visit seems to have sparked a flurry of buys . This tightly held stock could well have much more upside upon announcement of a deal . The reassurance here is that SS due diligence is second to none and if he puts pen to paper it's going to be a cracking deal ! Noted are the links to Petronas
I'm a huge BKY fan and with Trump coming into power and it is wise to get exposure to Uranium companies which have excellent access to the US market. Hence my investment in GCL Energy security will be huge for the US. There current demand is 55mlb yet they produce only 3mlb. The recovery in Japan is happening albeit slowly. Chinese huge reactor program , India very large also Demand for Uranium is increasing 3% a year while production is declining. There will be a select few companies ready to take advantage of the utilities coming to market. Uranium is the only scalable clean energy source with the ability to provide 24/7 clean energy All the above give a compelling case for investing in Uranium The outlook for Uranium is the best for a decade, when the uranium price adjusts it will reflecting the demand / supply deficit. The market is different to 2006/2007 , then there was a lot speculation , The reality is now we have the scarcity factor with few producers , there are simply not enough players in the market , it takes years to go from exploration to production. Because of this situation price movements for uranium and uranium stocks could be huge & happen quickly because of limited stock supply. The current uranium prices are simply to low to be worth producing for most companies ,so production reduces, mines close , exploration investment declines. Patience for uranium investors will IMO provide extreme rewards beyond that of any other commodity.
Market cap £16m , Cash £37m , No Debt Quite a large discount The company clearly needs to expand the portfolio and that is their strategy , but until they actually do a deal the company is likely to remain unloved
