This would be an exception to my previous comment about fund managers buying into micro cap stock. A private placement could certainly be offered to IIs directly and it's in this situation where I believe we might achieve a premium on market price. I believe this is the right time to do this.

DaProphet, that's really not true. While, obviously, there will be some managers who'll buy anything, the vast, vast majority have investment policies that preclude investment below a certain market cap, for very good reason. In order to build a relevant position they'd end up creating an entire market and moving the price themselves. It just doesn't work. A manager needs to be able to accumulate in the low £Millions quite quickly and there's no way they could do that here, yet.

Fund managers largely ignore micro cap big movers. It's just too small a company to work with.

Remember too that 40p in 2013 is 57p today. As well, the company is completely different - incomparable to what it is today, then it was just MSAR with few avenues of sale. In 2013 there were fewer emissions rules and almost no emissions targets. Now we have three products that can be used in succession to reach truly net zero, we have multiple sales avenues across multiple industries and geographies. This, combined with the inflationary effect overrides the effect of the substantial dilution since 2013.

Plus...the market it pretty efficient which means what can be known is known throughout the market but I think there's a bit of an exception for this stock in particular in that there's a significant base of long-term holders who probably do know more than the general market and so it may really be a case of being able to buy shares in this company for less than they're worth which is pretty weird

Not usually. And when they are, the MM will fill the other side of the trade quickly, usually in the same day. Market Makers do not hold stock long term, they don't take a position, they help with liquidity. Further, it is *never* possible to identify which trades are buys or sells, this information is not logged by the exchange. This website and sites like this make things very confusing by labelling trades buys and sells even though each has an asterisk pointing to a disclaimer that the label is just a guess based on which side of the midpoint valuation the trade fell on at the time. This guess can be quite good for large companies with liquidity but is terrible for a stock like this. The midpoint can change by an amount greater than half the spread in moments making identification of buys and sells absolutely impossible

I understand this had been mentioned multiple times before but for me I had sort of ignored it or put it on the back burner or whatever so for me this is come out of left field completely and I know nothing about it. It seems really important, They're talking about potentially burning a huge amount and I'm looking forward to commentary here from those who know.

Or August/September. But the reality is, we know for certain the fuel works. The market may not which is why the share price is where it is, but it's already been tested to death on all sorts of engines including this very ship. We've essentially got insider information here. We know the future and we know what the share price is actually worth.
