RE: Physical (full, real, constrained) vs Paper (fractional, geared)7 Feb 2026 17:14
Again, the detail and rigour of the reply is appreciated. Some of which was lost on me, being somewhat a a philistine.
If we have fractional reserve banking; why not fractional reserve metals?
Do you mean to say physical metal is not rehypothecated? The system works, Nobody cheats and everything is well?
Tin, tungsten, copper, lead, uranium e.t.c. can explode; yet silver must stay in it's box and multi-decade base?
Furthermore, Samsung did a deal with Silver Storm to secure supply. If it all works just fine, why would a large entity like that go direct to the source? Will the physical market decouple from paper?
Element has got me excited. All the capital flying out of Bitcoin (purported to be digital gold, new gold, gold 2.0) needs a new home. Some will go to tech. Miners and metals will benefit.
