Good morning Brombarb,
I hope you are well. For clarification, I was certainly not suggesting the post was illegal. What I was suggesting was the purchase of shares by individuals connected to the company to create a false impression could be illegal, because it may be market manipulation. As stated previously, I am not a legal expert, and it is only my opinion.
Good afternoon Brombarb and Chrisev1,
Thank you both for your comments. I lack objectivity when it comes to 88e in general, and Wall in particular, which can impact on my judgement. I have written several posts which I did not subsequently submit for this reason. I would certainly say Dr. Stephen Staley is outstandingly well qualified, and would have enormous credibility in any forum, not only one connected to O and G. This is the source of my confusion. I cannot understand why a man who is, by any measure, incredibly well qualified, would be ignored by PMO. Did their experts think they knew more ? Was it ego? When a man who is eminently qualified, and has a lifetime of experience, says you are going to drill in the wrong place, why would you go ahead a drill? I would like to know if the concerns regarding location appear in any minutes, or in any e-mails.
I have expressed my opinion of Wall on this forum many times. I invested in PB, not Wall. What I am curious about is the lack of reaction from within PMO, or on their BB to his comments. They may be entitled to ask why £23m of their money was ****ed up the wall on a P and A, but they were told by duster Dave they were wrong to begin with. I cannot see how Wall knew more than they did, but his, very public comments, suggest they chose to ignore the advice from 88e, and this is why they lost their money. I would have thought some from of response would be required/desired by their own shareholders. Shareholders wanting an explanation of why their drill was a duster. Really? I thought they just kept paying so others could keep taking while they stuck pins in a map of Alaska.
Good afternoon Phrontist,
I am hoping you can perhaps clarify something. I will understand completely if you choose not to do so. I am interested in the comment made by Wall: "Icweine-1 results could not have been better." I have two thoughts:
1) This does not match up to our current dire situation in respect of SP.
2) To what extent were the results any kind of success, bearing in mind 1) above
Would welcome your comments. I am struggling to "square the circle" here, on many levels. Communication from the top is hardly a masterclass in clarity.
Good morning Ecuagold,
I absolutely agree. I have been here for years, and the journey has been: £1 party, 50p party, could be 10p soon, is 0.05 realistic? courtesy of MILOH, 0.028p now. Put simply the value today, as a fraction, is 1/357 of the highest proposed value. Go now Dave!! You have had your money, and then some!! Give someone else a chance to help me get mine back.
Good afternoon Spks,
I really hope we can get to the point where you can escape. I need the SP to to be much higher for me. I cannot stomach the loss I would make if I sold now. Great strategy: Suck them in, **** their money up the wall, then they are trapped, until they cannot take any more. Then find more mugs. In the meantime, keep your ridiculous salary coming in until the next drilling season. I cannot understand how people at the top of the company, with a hard earned reputation in the O and G industry can be a party to this.
Good afternoon Shaa,
Your question: do we believe Mr David wall?
The answer is in the question. The doubt is there, otherwise the question would not be asked. Significantly, the next drilling opportunity is in 2021. How much more money will he have been paid by then. Pleas note, been paid, not earned. Two different things. How much of our hard earned money has Wall ****ed up the wall? I had put my faith in PB, not Wall.
Good afternoon Phrontist,
I have read your posts in detail. I have a feeling of unease about the way the entire deal has been transacted. There seems to be singular lack of transparency, and, as you rightly say, we are funding share purchases being made by Wall in another company. The tone of recent posts is a true indication of feelings. I know, having been here for years, there have been posters who had their own agenda, and posted accordingly. I believe Wall reads the posts, and I am assuming others at the top do likewise. There appears to be a high anger, resentment and blatant distrust. Expressions like"Lifestyle company" and "may go to prison" sum it up. He will trash the reputation of the people around him. The feeling seems to be we are being had for mugs. I have asked before, what would PB think of such behaviour?
I am a LTH, who has been here for years, literally!!
The bigger picture for me comes in three parts:
1) My investment is worth a tiny percentage of the original amount.
2) We are invested in the oiliest place on earth, and Davey Boy can't find any oil on a site made up of hundreds of thousands of acres
3) He is still earning a huge salary, and the only thing changing is the date!!
Results David, where are the results? Still waiting.
Good evening HTH,
Amen to that sir!! It would be better if he took less as a result of being sacked. I cannot understand why the people around him are accepting this level of performance. Still no results I see. I can help you with results Davey boy. There are millions of barrels of oil down there. Trillions of cubic feet of gas down there. What we need is someone who can find it. The evidence to date screams this is not you. Go now!!
I have been sucked in, and I cannot face turning the awful paper loss I am nursing into anything worse. Any upturn starts to mitigate. I cannot believe PB, a true giant in the industry, would have accepted this level of performance. I had assumed the leaders of this company would not want to trash their reputations by trying to explain their part in the failures of duster Dave. He keeps being paid, and I cannot understand why it is accepted. He has been responsible for 0 out of 4, but has not been sacked. WHY?? That would take the wind out of his sails. Lifestyle supported by us. What would PB say?
Good afternoon WA,
Hope you are well. The prison comment has changed my thinking. Will wait with growing interest in something other than the share I am utterly trapped in. Hoping to mitigate some of my losses. The other option is intriguing. Have said before I invested here because pf PB, not duster Dave.
Dear Santa,
I would like one Christmas present this year, but I would like it very, very soon. I would like to mitigate my loss to get out of this miserable fkn share. I am hoping Wall can find a market needing dust and bull****. We will be millionaires overnight!!
I agree with the recent posts concerning Wall. I wrote a post earlier which did not appear. Perhaps it was a good thing!! I did not invest here because of Wall, it was because of PB. I thought we had sufficient industry expertise and business acumen to succeed, even without PB. I think my judgement is even more flawed than I had previously thought. I believed the reputations of the people at the top would be something they would want to preserve/enhance, not have them associated with this awful situation. Wall continues to collect a salary for nothing more than failure. However, he has certainly not lost out. My genuine belief is people with four decades of experience and hard won reputations would not allow this debacle to continue. Get Wall out. I cannot believe the people at the top feel any differently than the long suffering LTHs. They need to either succeed, or explain to the O and G industry what they continued to back duster Dave. When I say the O and G industry, I assume it is like any other industry. People know people. When you are asked why you backed duster Dave, you need a good answer. In the world of football, you are only as good as your last game. The people at the top, not Wall obviously, would, I hope, not want to be remembered for this mess, or for backing duster Dave.
Good evening rfarfa,
I absolutely agree we need a CEO who can present a positive spin. Would never think otherwise. What worries me is his inability to present such a spin effectively. Very small trading volume, utterly stagnant SP. You are the leader, so lead!! Present the company as a place where opportunity is to be found, not only a place where all our hard earned money has gone. We are paying you well enough!! In fact, I will do your job as badly as you have, for half the money. Cost saving already!!
Good afternoon WA,
I absolutely echo your sentiments. My investment decision was hugely influenced by PB. His reputation and experience were second to none. I did not invest because of Wall. As he struggles to present any positive spin, I am nursing losses I do not want to contemplate or calculate, yet again. I know many are showing bigger losses than I am, but Wall sits in his office and his salary keeps being paid. I am hoping he can finally pull a rabbit out of the hat, but my genuine fear is he does not even have a hat, never mind a rabbit!!
