Thank you for your reply sasa. In fact HBR and SQZ both are North Sea oil companies. They are in the same boat. Burdened with heavy oil tax from the British government. Last year's tiny post tax profit of HBR was because of an one off huge tax. British government is truly a highway man ransacking its North Sea oil companies, and it will be even worse If the windfall tax is introduced.

Well, actually not just oil, there are cigarettes, alcohol and many other things that are also heavily taxed as well in this country, but we have got used to it already, lol.

HBR:

PE Ratio 307.28127

Earnings. 0.746547

Dividend. 17.9504

Yield. 7.825%

SQZ:

PE Ratio 3.436923

Earnings 65.00

Dividend 22.00

Yield 9.84%

HBR on a EPS of over 307 and its tiny earning can hardly cover the dividend payments at all. No way you called it a quality stock.

But SQZ is far more solid and stronger in all fronts. EPS is just 4.44, dividend 22p with the earning of 65p, which is well covered by 2.95 times. This is what a quality stock should be. So, I am a holder of this company myself. The only thing about SQZ is that it's an oil producer. The incoming new British government's windfall tax talk is affecting the SP. Probably it will be more settled after the election. Well, let's hope so anyway.
