Good point. I hadn't looked at the volume. Any sp increase is a positive to me having bought in some time ago at 1.28p!
I do like the company and the way they do things. Practical and produces results. For that reason I am prepared to hold rather than cut my losses.
Looking at what has happened to the SP following the rns we jus had, can anyone remind me what was said (not so long ago - perhaps in the River Thames boat presentation) re the share value of TE-5 to potential for the share price? Was it somewhere in the the region of 20p? Many thanks.
Hi Tacuma. I have an alternative view on that. I was surprised to see Morocco mentioned but Sound Energy potentially has a viable gas business, subject to a Gas Sales Agreement that is imminent. Yes, they reported a duster recently but that is first in an exploration of three wells. Two more to go. Likewise SDX had considerable success during their recent drilling program. I would like to know what EOG has spotted. I am concerned that my experience of EOG so far has been to see the price drop and nothing be concluded. Are things about to change?
A disappointing outcome for TE-9 however, this is the nature of the exploration beast.
The drop in share price last week was counter to my (reasonable?) expectations. I wonder if that suggests there were some leaky bits of news reaching some ears? I hope not as I expect the integrity of the Sound ship to be watertight. No matter, we shall just have to go through the process of watching and waiting for the outcome of TE-10 and lets us hope all the downside news is out of the way now.
I shall continue to hold for now. Good luck all.
As no doubt everyone on here will be, I am really looking forward to the outcome of this drilling. I can only imagine how the Sound Team are eagerly looking over every report and indication to see to see if their deductions from all the surveying and analysis is going to be vindicated. Exciting times. Oh and the share price? If I had some spare cash it would no doubt be used to increase my holding. Christmas is coming and I have to keep what I have to feed up the goose. James I hope you have dusted off your Santa suit?
Well done Sting69. I am so pleased you have taken The Times to task. Too often journalists are just plain sloppy with their reporting. It is almost as if getting something on paper, no matter what, is far more important than the content being correct. I would expect that from some papers but I thought The Times had a higher standard. Great job!
I feel the rns of today is a key step in the SOU journey. The step for me that is very significant, will be the signing of a Gas Sales Agreement (GSA). I of course want to see significant and positive results from the drill bit, however the leverage in the LE discussion will be greatly aided by willing large volume purchasers for our gas, and at a good price. The drilling outcomes will underpin the whole deal and I guess determine the size of the prospective parties involved in making the LE deal. Incidentally, can I wish all of you who are taking the trip to Morocco well for the journey. I really would have liked to have joined you but it was not to be this time. The chance to be out in the desert is a great experience and at this time of year should be very pleasant. Good luck and safe return.
Hi Brocal53. I too listened to the DL interview. He has a point. Not long ago I sent an email to UKOG (SS) asking him what sort of defenses were in place to prevent a hostile takeover. As yet no answer (perhaps I didn't really expect one!) but I feel that it is rather essential that UKOG does align with some institutional investors. Not only will that give increased validity to what the company is doing but it will also shore up our defenses. Since we have now transitioned to a production company perhaps (when potential production and resources are proven up as a result of the ongoing extended well testing) this will provide a platform for SS to kick off some sort of visible roadshow to gain institutional support and some corner stone investors. It may also help us get investment funding from banks etc rather than further dilution by placings. I think we already had enough of those for now. As a private investor I would like to see this share gain a bit more gravitas. Not least, as you mention, government weight is needed behind project Weald generally. A bit of dynamic thinking and appropriate changes to de-bottleneck the democratic process of planning consents etc. would make sense too. I wonder if you or others agree or have other suggestions. Regards, Seedcorn.
I am quite sure that Echo are busy working hard and honestly but if the rns of today was intended to inform then it was way off from my (unreasonable?) expectations and felt vague. It is good to know that the pulling jobs and well interventions have now been completed. I was going to write (and did but deleted it!) a lot more as the recent tweet suggested (in my view) we could expect more information by this time. I am perplexed but remain hopeful!
Thank you addicknt, I shall look into that.
You make a good point about the existing DERR shareholders rearranging their holdings from DERR into S4. I was doing a bit of research into Solent Capital Partners yesterday following the TR1.
I am also wondering if it is possible to identify some of the potential targets that S4 may be aiming for once the RTO is completed. Years ago, early 1990's If memory serves me right, I held shares in a company that WPP bought out. I've been racking my brains trying to remember the name of the company which I had bought as a penny share. Was it Millward Brown? Something like that. The company was monitoring audience reaction etc. to advertising. I do remember doing well out of the deal receiving a second payout for a performance bonus that doubled the buy out price. There may be some mileage in identifying such new targets so I would expect some chatter about that over coming weeks. I cannot see Sir Martin letting momentum slip. Does anyone have any thoughts? Regards, Seedcorn.
