I would say there are two sorts of rampers
1 Ramper number one is invested in a share which he/she believes in ,has done the reasearch ,feels passionately about the share ,is helpful ,humourous and helps new investors with replies, technicals, financials and points of interest .
2 Ramper number 2 has no interest in the long term interest of any other investor ,often works in a team with other said persons ,may be in contact with the aforementioned individuals either by phone or e-mail to organise talking up a share that they have puchased into ,once their profit target is reached they will depart and do not give a monkeys for any investers still holding .,usually locked in and sitting on a loss .
A brief but concise explanation (then again i thought you would have read the link i left on the LDP re.Pump and dumpers ,maybe you missed it -) )
We shall let the good people of the LSE decide who is which sort of ramper -)
