The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
With my corporate hat on: when dealing with SMEs, (which are encouraged to engage in NHS procurement!), a good look at track record and current customer base will happen. Perhaps the Trust are being ultra cautious?
QVH will be starting over next year if FDBK don't continue. That would be reinventeing the wheel, and such a waste.
What exactly was the point of the Pilot phase if, when successful, (never been done before!) the solution can't be implemented throughout adding pathways as needed?
[Bangs head on wall]
Local politics and red tape or some other reason?
Any company tendering will have to have a CE marked clinical device. Who else has? If it's still no one, then how can any other company tender?
"Importantly, Bleepa is the only CE marked medical imaging communications platform on the NHSX clinical communications tools framework".
Yes, ndr, hit the nail on the head.
Going back to the company Q&A, mention of 'strong pipeline', AI related action combining MDT work.
Plus trusts not confirming to imaging standards (WhatsApp) and being very slow to adopt CE marked devices. Slow, slow adoption.
A broad market probably didn't engage with the tender as was. Could be FDBK were the only contender? Doubtless that breaches some procurement rules.
Tom must be so frustrated and some contracts outside the NHS must be a way forward.
No real explanation. I wonder what's happened.
Dr Tom Oakley, CEO Feedback plc said: "Although QVH had expected to conclude its tender process by 31st March 2023, we have been informed by the Trust that the existing tender process is no longer progressing. We are pleased to be supporting QVH on an interim basis to ensure the continuity of ongoing patient care whist they undertake a further procurement exercise.
Now we've passed 31 March, a reminder:
Dr Tom Oakley, CEO of Feedback, said: "QVH and the broader Sussex team have been great partners in delivering this end-to-end clinical solution. This contract recognises the initial stage of our work together and enables us to proceed to a more formal working arrangement, pending a successful procurement exercise.

Thanks Vas & Barnacle, good stuff.
And of course we know that :
Bleepa is the only communications platform being used by the NHS to be certified as UKCA marked.
Ticks all the boxes.
Could be an interesting year.
