Do they tax buybacks in the US? I doubt they will here as it will make the UK even more unpopular for new listings and companies will move/list in another country,

LTI, if I remember correctly, LBG stated that they will distribute all excess capital down to there buffer, apprx 13% by the end of 2024, is that correct?

if so what is the excess capital in £'s?

I feel its in excess of £1.5B plus over and above the stated distributions?

Will we see bigger dividends than the stated analysts assumptions? specials? additional buybacks?

I think many of us are in the same place SUFC and i agree to get out around 50p, but maybe others are bailing out earlier hence why the price not rise out of the 40s, a massive company like LBG earning £5B-£7B PA, other companies make a loss and have much higher share prices.. i begs a question!!!

You know I agree with you SUF but it would be nice if LBG showed a bit of leg and it stayed out.. perhaps around the 50p mark would be a good enough showing for now and a little bit more leg each year, just a little each year say 2-5p per year increase, not to much though, as i want the buyback to do well too. just a tiny bit of positivity in the SP!!

I have a fair holding Mararab as i worked for LoydsTSB for sometime and those share incentive schemes were good at the time and were in the £4 so hopefully you can see my pain at 40pennies. Yes the divi and buy back is good but there is "good and better" elsewhere too!!

I fully agree with your sentiment LTI, with the cancelled dividends for whatever the reason, share price in reverse most of the time, B.o.D promises etc, other stock making money and better consistent dividends and a with a General Election looming and a strong possibility of a Labour Government it begs belief as to whether LBG or any UK centric bank will be allowed to make any money and pass that on to shareholders!!
