Agreed Gazzle. To more populist pressure on banks, energy, supermarkets etc. good yields though. Share price increase and high dividends unlikely. Too many people in the uk niw with no or littke money that vote for the politicians that give things out for free. Not like wealth!!

I agree with you SUFC, I can get all out now if I add back in the dividend monies paid already, very tempted to do so but I do think the dividend is solid at 5% and I know Lloyds, better the devil you know and all that!!

But i have sold down post ex dividend and re invested in M&G, Voda and some miners etc, all high yielding stock. I will not re invest in LBG now. The dividend will go into other possible more high yielders and growth stock or both BT as an example.

10 more years "beep" that mate. That's better out there and Lloyds and the UK governments have wrecked UK banks. I want to get to a low shareholding way before the GE next year, so 2023 full divi in May 23 will be it for for me I expect. Labour already under pressure to show where they are going to raise money from. It's going to be carnage when/if they get in so I'm going outside uk too.

"Surely in the future" you would of thought so SUFC, I still say with consistent political pressure on UK banks the share prices will unlikely rise to any significant level, it's just a utility simples.

I had to sell some more today and bought Quilter. The pain is to great now, cannot stand it any longer, it really f*ing hurts watching this share price go nowhere every day!! And with the Italian banks move puts more focus on UKGOV taxing our banks more and just the fear of it will keep the SP depressed for ever!!

I've sold down more today Silver, bought into M&G, 9.8% dividend, already bought Glencore, Rio, Voda etc etc l

I think some peoples frustrations with LBG are verbally taken out on other members on this board.

I agree Stage, I didn't know that they taxed BBs in US and Canada, that's why I asked, I'm sure they will follow suit then, even more of a reason to supress the share price then, to buyback more, I wonder if they will announce an extension to BB at Q3 results, never say never..
