Steven- Check out the exchange on this BB between Mattynix7 & GJBrandon on Thursday morning.
Hopefully that's what you're looking for.
Older - I think that is, as yet, officially unproven, but previous exploratory work has offered up some fairly high grade stuff so it's currently a matter of establishing how wide & deep it goes.
You have to surmise that AA already had an idea of the area previously and their renewed engagement would point to them knowing that something "potentially" in the Tier 1 range was there. All IMO
Fulmar, good post, and it's for your reasoning that I'm quite comfortable with the idea that they put in a sleeper to look after the operation. With the Chinese buying up Africa at a rate of knots, they knew that if the site would prove of interest they had a way back in again.
It's of strategic importance to the West to have a copper supply, and ARCM might have found a useful part of that.
Would a T/O offer be voted on by the shareholders? Maybe the Chinese can still unsettle some with a crazy offer, but my belief is that if this site is loaded it'll only go one way.
As you say, we shall see.
From the RNS on the subject it looks like they're doing a bit of both;
"Diamond drilling activities will commence over the Fwiji Target ('Fwiji') where the company has already defined the target area through previous exploratory works. Follow up work at a number of the other target areas, including Cheyeza East and Muswema, is currently underway."
Whether this was THEIR idea or "big brother's" we can only guess at.
Hopefully both strategies are dripping with value!
Makes me wonder why Numis couldn't just hand over all remaining shares to Peel Hunt at the going rate, thus completing in one clean transaction rather than the action taken.
Sheer bloody-mindedness? Or legal protocol? Dunno.
Yezzerrr - I'm generally with you & Peggy with regards to a bit more news, but I'm not sure how much their hands are tied by potential buyers who would rather the news be kept under wraps at the moment. "We dug a hole today" might be seen as a bit superficial, when what we really want is some results, and they might require a bit more patience, unfortunately. Gotta keep the faith!
Bloodshot - I do worry about the fact that Bolsonaro seems to be on the ropes a little, which might be the catalyst for some change in the future. He's mad-right but business-friendly, and any change might see something less busines-friendly. Also, IMO the struggle for power there is a struggle for control over the corruption, so having to grease 2 sets of palms might be a little onerous. Not saying this is specific to Brazil, just maybe being a tad cynical.
All that said, I'm not selling.
Odgie - I know that seagulls are sometimes called sh*te-hawks. Maybe a reference to our aggressive move in to effluence testing :)
Gonzalez - True, he doesn't have HL's panache, but if his job is to stand there with a hard-hat on and a roll of plans under his arm getting a mine built then we have to trust that the team that got us this far have made the right choice, IMO.
I too lost a load at SXX, but managed to do it in only 3 or 4 months, so I didn't really have time to know the team so well. Tobin has made some interesting points earlier on this guy's involvement there.
I guess we'll just have to put our faith in the bigger picture, and the team as a whole, for now, and that you ARE completely wrong ;)

Delighted to see the slow dawning light of positivity on here! :)
This company isn't the sharpest at keeping the world updated on its movements, but we're all in it for the profit it will doubtless deliver*

* As long as a handful of power-crazed eugenicists don't get their way
In fairness, they made quite a big noise about the commencement of drilling about this time last year, along with some other news.
I would personally like to see something from them, even if not on the same scale, just something saying "yeah, we're back to work".
Pesky (tiny) shareholder, I know.
fpn2 - I wish you all the best. I would be wrong to wish anything else. All I can say is that I was seduced by SXX and lost 30% of my SIPP. Before that I went all in on a silver ETF and went minus after 10 years. I'm heavily in to this stock now, but I know a hundred things could go wrong before it goes right. My lesson to myself is to spread the risk. You will only learn your own the hard way, but I seriously hope you are lucky.
