Putting net zero targets and diversity hire quotas ahead of everything else work out great for that Titan sub guy.
The Big Q is never too busy.
For those of you who missed it, at the weekend it was decided on here to form a Solgold Shareholders Association.
By acclamation , Quady was chosen as President and Lord Protector for Life of said association.
We are currently looking for office space and are setting up an admin team asap to deal with queries and fan mail.
Any suggestions going forward are welcome.
- Sean Hunter
Interim Groom of the Stool for the All High Lord Protector (henceforth known as the Big Q)
The only "net zero" we are going to achieve is the share price in six months if they don't get their finger out.
Actually I think a shareholders association would be an excellent idea at this point.
The only surprise us, after all the ups and downs of recent years, no one has though if it before.
I would certainly join.
Furthermore I hereby nominate Quady as President and Lord Protector. For life.
Needalife I assume that strong rumour we spoke about has fizzled out? I can't find any new leads in it.
"why would i spend the last 6 months ****ging of solg management and the clowns on here, to suddenly leap up and tell the world of a strong rumour ive heard, that if true could be good news."
Why indeed? It's why your posts caught my eye - it does seem odd that you would stick your neck out and stake all your credibility on this one unless there was a tiny chance that you are right.
I sincerely hope you are.
It's as deep as yours needalife. We are a hardy working folk, tough as old boots, the sweat of our brows and our backbreaking labour has sustained this world since the middle ages... and we stick together.
And it's worth mentioning that any "strong rumour" now being talked about on Twitter is only people referring back to YOU here on this BB, so you have essentially started the rumour yourself and now it's circling back to you.
I'm as hungry for good news as anyone and I hope against hope that you are right - but whatever your game is be careful.
Needalife, I have long standing and deep connections with the miners of Western Australia too - they are a close knit community but many are of Scottish heritage and see me and trust me as one of their own and tell me everything, and I can assure you that the only "strong rumour" going around involves what your wife gets up to while you are busy posting on here...
That poor man, God rest his soul. What courage it must have taken for him to speak out, knowing the risks - 59 years old and married with five children. Jesus wept. It's just awful.
To come on here and see needalife gloating about this, celebrating the violent murder of a man, a husband and a father, to score cheap points before the mans blood has even dried because he thinks it makes him look clever, happily crowing about how prescient he is, genuinely makes me sick to my stomach.
What has happened to this board?
And the winner of Pub Bore of the Year 2023 goes to:
Well ladies and gentlemen, this year we actually have joint winners...
A combination of very low volume here and global boiling. By 2026 the average temperature will mean that copper melts and will be quite useless. We need to wake up.
When a see a title with "not weather related" I reach for my gun.
In an age of global boiling, EVERYTHING is weather related and quite frankly those not taking the climate emergency as the imminent, happening, all-pervasive catastrophe that it is should be shipped off to re-education camps.
This is one subject that we cannot leave unchallenged on share trading bulleting boards. We MUST start listening to the experts - Greta Thunberg, Gary Lineker, Prince Harry and Quady - before it is too late. We topped 17C in Glasgow yesterday, possibly the hottest August day in Glasgow for 120,000 years and literally furnace conditions for us fair skinned ginger haired folk. BBC Scotland has reports f Mars Bars deep frying themselves.
No we really have reached the point of ClImate Boiling.
July and it's 16 degree centigrade up here!
We need to tax the working classes as harshly as possible and forbid all travel.
Except for Leonardo di Caprio and Greta of course.
We have entered the period of GLOBAL BOILING 😭
So a hat of some sort is probably in order...
That makes about 625 job losses from the peak. Economic sense for us, but no laughing matter for the individuals and their families involved, struggling to put food on the table in a desperately poor country.
We are thus reminded here today to pay heartfelt respects to our honoured unemployed. And yet it should be noted, in the midst of our sorrow, these job losses takes place in the shadow of new life, the sunrise of a new mining world; a world that our beloved comrades gave their jobs to protect and nourish. They did not feel this sacrifice a vain or empty one, and we should not debate their profound wisdom with these proceedings.
Now, for us, it's second star to the right - and straight on till morning.
I was always with Mr Micawber on this one. "Something is bound to turn up."
GLA
AgArCu wow you really made me think there.
20 days of my life?
From my Solg spreadsheet;
314 trades since 2016
£673,885 put in.
£746,772 taken out.
Profit of £72,887
Not bad for 20 days work.
And a huge chunk of that was thanks to our good friend Warren Irwin in March.
I don't regret my time on here because most of it was spent chatting to actual investors and not non-invested troll like you, needalife, and Tesla1.
I'm off to Spain later this morning with my illl gotten gains. Don't forget to write! x
What's a ridiculous claim? I'm not sure what your so bothered about to be honest.
I hope for a sale soon. That doesn't make me a ramper.
My post was about Warren Irwin's ability to create selling and buying opportunities with his pronouncements. But even anonymously I'm not going to accuse the guy of doing anything that breaches market rules.
We all have to construe what he says according to our wits. You do yourself a great disservice by labelling anyone who sees any value in this company a ramper.
You might say that. I couldn't possibly comment.
