A little off point but think it's relevant -
I work at Philips Healthcare and just come off a Town Hall meeting. The personal health division (hair clippers, hair removal,Tooth brushes etc) just released last quarter results. With virtually no bricks and mortar sales they were only -19% year on year. Global sales of 1 billion euro
The UK team were ahead of game and had even less of a down turn -online sales
Philips online up 150%
Amazon sales up 92%
John Lewis up 44%
I know it's a totally differant market but thought it totally showed the trend and their target aren't youngsters
I know I'm not as analytic as most on here but I see- FTSE below monday opening many shares still at May levels and BOO would be 400+ now if no bad news which will blow over. And still 15% ish up from Monday with what looks like a fantastic RNS due Sept and on top of that a massive incentive for them to get to £6
Based on basic facts it's a no brainer to me. Someone looking for a safish LT investment
I wouldn't of found BOO without these boards- I'd like to have a go at LAM after their RNS but I'm new and would need to see some boo shares which I'm not going to do as i'm up 3k and see this a long hold. Already lost 10k chasing losses in my first month of trying to retire a little earlier lol
I'm new to investing but sold Stagecoach to buy here at 2.55 then sold my RR to average down to 2.35. I;ve now recovered my losses and will leave these sat in my isa. My other holdings are HUR & MAL (both currently loss) Thank god for BOO lol
Forgive me for being a newbie, but is this how it works ? Ive been reading this thread for several weeks with mainly intelligent posts around the facts. Suddenly there's lots of negativity, name calling and arsyness. If a stock is genuinely crap won't it drop without all the negativity ? I've seen it on BooHoo (I know they are very differant circumstances) and hope the same applies here as investors are now coming back and I'm actually making some profits for the first time lol. Anyway please don't knock my lack of knowledge about oil fields as I admit to knowing sod all, but if there's a positive RNS surely they should surge. Is this why derampers have turned up to drive down price to get better returns after RNS ?
If it was me- I would look to do what I can (ie Director buys yesterday) to get the share price back to where it was before I released my sales figure. Back to 4+ then release sales and who knows they may hit that 6 they need for huge bonus. I'd expect initial findings to be released with an appropriate statement by the end of August if not sooner to get rid of the bagage
Thanks again guys, Really appreciate it, I know there are some that would rather knock newcomers than help them
How to Own the World - Andrew Craig. On its way- Thank you
More profits for Amazon lol
Thank you and I will DEFINITELY take your advice from here on in. I had no clue how all this really works
Thanks Chris. I think I'll look to do the same moving forward. My three stocks at present are as I've mentioned and Hurricane @ 6.2. Think I 'll just let those 3 do what they do and go a little safer moving forward
To feel a little sad the low price didn't last until the end of the month as I was going to throw my bonus at it :( lol. Never mind at 2.35 I'll be making money. Not massive but managed to scrap enough pennies to get 8k shares and they are in ISA for pension
Hi ALL,I recently started to look at investing for future pension pot as I had time on my hands. It's been a steep learning curve and around 17k down as I chased profits. I got a little carried away here after seeing someone recommend it and bought 3.5 million at .2 so around 33% down right now. My total risk here isn't massive but wondered if there was any chance this will move up short/medium and if anyone has a crystal ball long term. Or is it a case of come back in 12 months and see if you have anything left ? I'm hoping to reduce my recent losses with a larger stake in BOOHOO and intend to hold there LT
Average price- 6.2
Target price- 24
