Hi 69, guess what’s going to happen to the footsie when the fed raises interest rates. Except for the banks which will do the opposite. GSK will in my opinion be dragged back with the rest of the market so I’m waiting for a rate rise ans see what the aftermath is like good that you got back in Abcam. :-).

Exactly , that what the prevent add on has been doing with the early stage adopters testing the product.

Should do better now with more interest been shown in darks products . Also they will make more with “prevent” add on which will be sold to the existing customers as well as new customers ,assuming prevent has good feedback.

????? I think it is supposed to be about May-June just when spring has sprung and hopefully the sp of both new companies. Hope you had a good Christmas and new year. My present to you buy Lloyds. Just my view so don’t anyone tell me I’m giving advice this is between myself and the 69er.

Getagrip, very good post. It’s the reality. Most people do not realise just how much their living standards are going to be effected by inflation this year.

Methinks the worm is about to turn. They still have a good product and at last count are still making money.

I think that is spot on . Only slight doubt I have is the effect of brexit. I remember a while back reshuffling my funds as the uk didn’t look to good so put my stuff into Asia. What happened next was the uk did very well and Asia stayed still. This time I’m putting about 30% in uk funds. And inflation linked funds global. Lloyds will do well .

Yes I was aware of standard , also prudential have big exposure to China overall . I did have shares in the pru & M&G split. that went ok so sold for small profit. Standard cost me a grand loss.
All that was about 18 months ago.

Think you need to do some reading. Lloyds and Barclays have no exposure to evergrande. Not even through pensions.

The evergrande saga may well scare the market a bit tomorrow. Which in my case might be good as I will be adding Lloyds . If there is a dip it’s unfounded with Lloyds as they and Barclays have no interests in evergrande unlike hsbc. So if there is bad news expect banking and property shares to drop. Just my view. :-). Happy new year to all.

I doubt it , GSK will be hitting the headlines soon I think with the Vaccines that they have developed to cover multi covid viruses etc. Anyway Denby hope you have a good new year , also everyone else, unless your one of the muppets who went to disrupt the test centre at Milton Keynes. :-) ..

That’s a yes. It will happen when the Dow is over 38 most of my cash is now waiting. Even if it takes 6 months I’m better off waiting than diving back in with all my cash and looking at a sea of red in 8months time. Still have about 7% to keep me interested in the market at the moment. Also uk footsie will in my opinion start doing very well by then as it’s cheap. My opinion.

GSK have been doing excellent with their collaborations with other companies in the fight to bring new covid vaccines . One of which may well cover all variants known. I think that in the not too far future meaning less than two years we will look back at the sp thinking what a bargain the sp of today is. Strong hold for ever.
