RE: Demand for what we have5 Apr 2021 13:20
I thought I would stay off here until tomorrow after the appearance of Topper on Thursday but the bb seems to be functioning really well. I guess Tilly's medieval Dyson must have done the trick.
Anyway, and this is NOT a deramp, my thoughts on the 'Green Wave': I get the desire to move away from the internal combustion engine to a cleaner form of energy, but I have concerns about the longer term prospects for batteries. They start out well, a nice package of exotic metals and minerals but decay and become less and less efficient over time. Eventually they become one lump of highly toxic amalgam which can never be cleaned or reused. However because of the way our world works we're going to have to go through this before we get to fuel-cells, which fortunately, also need bucket loads of of our PGMs and REMs.
Win win.
