So the UKHSA has only approved three, but read the statement carefully,
"Additionally, the UK Health Security Agency has published a temporary protocol which lists 48 tests (both PCR and antigen based) which passed the Public Health England validation process at Porton Down earlier in the year that can remain available for sale in the UK whilst their validation is completed until a cut-off date of 28 February 2022."

So which tests are they going to prioritise to process next, logic would say those 48. Because Porton downs frozen samples didn't suit our test, I'm afraid we can forget getting validation in the UK any time soon.

I would of course love to be proved wrong, but hope, and think that we are selling all we can make into other markets, likely about 2 million a month. The fact that AS has said he is very happy with the AVA6000 trial, and we have had no news, (if pulled, would have to be RNSed), makes me quite comfortable with the future prospects of Avacta, last chance for a top up?

On one of the news sites,

"Molnupiravir is for people who have had a positive Covid test"

So testing will still be required, I don't see how this affects Avacta, unless possibly positively.

I've just read a piece about Arm China's boss going rogue.
It seems Chinese companies sometimes copy or steal tech from western companies.

Gruffell, yes you have a point, but my take is he is only obliged to RNS news likely to affect the SP, if it goes from 2.80 to 80p, and it's just the market ( buyers and sellers), not his problem.
If the entire SAB have resigned, and that is affecting the SP, I would expect a RNS.

Sorry Gruffell, but I have to agree with Ndn, I'm underwater, but a paper loss is just that unless you sell.
Also, you aren't the only one calling for something from AS, well it is not his job to react to share price fluctuations, the last time he did was because a rumour was affecting the SP.
I for one am happy with the way he runs the company (apart from timeline slips!) and get fed up with reading "why doesn't Al explain the SP fall" etc.

Either existing shareholders receive some shares in the new or buyout company, or more commonly, the money is kept in the original company, and either saved, spent or returned to share holders as a dividend, or a combination.
So

The SP should stay the same, or go up, if the buyout was deemed by the market as a good price. So all depends on the details of the deal!
The opposite would apply if a co. was in financial trouble, and sold part of the co to get money. They may sell cheap, and then spend that money for little gain, making the original company smaller so worth less. I don't think AVCT are in that position though!

Hmm, I did wonder, and worry about this back in February was it when the GAD tie up was announced.

I guess we will find out tomorrow, but I don't see why everyone is getting so excited.

If Avactas affimers, or mologic made LFTs are going to Africa, while very worthy and all that, I guess Avacta won't be making any money of them.

As far as I know, potential takeovers have to be voted on by shareholders.
The board can reject them out of hand, or put them to a vote with advice.

It seems enough people have tried, and that we can't change gov policy, they must be aware of the situation, but high up, have their own agenda.
We just have to trust the AVCT sales team are selling to whomever else, e.g. Europeans, airlines ROW etc!

Good of her to reply, but just trotting out the official line. We are going to keep using the Chinese c**p until end August.
TBH, I hope we become the "sovereign test", for the kudos it would bring, but I will not lose any sleep over it, as I am trusting AS when he says "we will sell all we can make".

With all due respect, AS can remain silent.
The way I see it, it is not his job to react to SP, unless caused by something that should be RNSed.
As AVCT is the biggest holding in my SIPP, I am not enjoying the SP crash, but if AS is doing his job honestly, then the reason for the drop is not down to him.

I'm replying to your post specifically because you have summed up nicely my thoughts on why we are were we are.

If the plans for min 5m (your recent guidance!) remain on track, with potential to scale to 60m, then now is the time to also update the market that the previous guidance remains in place and there is no reason for the drop"

So, if no sales expected, then an RNS COULD be made, but I'm not sure if regulation wise would be mandatory?
If the plans for min 5m (recent guidance) etc, then I don't see he has to update the market, lets assume there has been no change to the production numbers, so no RNS needed. No news, business as stated (good news!)

Finally, "and there is no reason for the drop", here again, it is not the CEO's job to speculate on reasons for SP movement, unless caused by facts that should be public knowledge (RNSed), no news = good news again. As other threads here have had members stating that their orders are delayed, I surmise either there is a slight delay in the ramping up of manufacturing, or the demand is so good, they are having trouble keeping up, either scenario are no cause for concern.

My guess is the crash is due to a combination of;

Day traders and shorters gambling on the stock.
An expectation (previously) we will be the sovereign, and news has leaked this is not the case. (AS never said we were, all speculation in the first place)
Still no sales numbers, so impatience and fear none will come.

To sum up, if you believe AS when he says we will sell all we can make (ROW?), and they are making them right now, and the other parts of Avacta, e.g. AVA6000, have a chance of succeeding, you just have to hold your nose and wait for the sunny uplands!

If not, then you don't trust the CEO, so sell up. Everyone who wants news from AS now, is really asking, "are you honest"?

We can all praise Scarry's letter, and send to our MPs until the end of time.
They may well pass it up the chain/ask a question, but DHSC has, as we all know, co*ked up, and the top brass and or government cabinet, are either inept or on the make.
In either case, they will ignore or stall, calling them out goes nowhere until exposure on MSM forces their hand.
I'm not too bothered, as I think sales will come anyway.

I suspect AS is too busy to worry about the share price. Any company only really needs a strong share price if they need to raise funds, which AVCT don't.
As a LTH, it is frustrating to see a paper loss, but unless I panic and sell, it is just that, a paper loss. It is where the SP ends up in the long term that matters to me.
Having said that, this share seems a perpetual "jam tomorrow" share!
Everything will be good when we (eventually) get the "sales made" news.
