"I received a message from ii explaining that they had to buy in bulk therefore that was the reason for my share re-investment being so far off market."
That sounds like a dodgy excuse for laziness.
Hargreaves Lansdowne spends 10 days buying them. The price always seems reasonably close to the rate at the time.
"Demand for bulk annuities is growing, and as well as already having a dominant UK position, L&G is increasing activity in overseas markets like the US and Canada. The US market's huge, with $3.0tn of defined benefit pension schemes, and only around 9% of that has already moved to insurance companies like Legal & General. It's a small fish for now, but the opportunity is significant."

Still the spineless coward gobbing it off from behind the computer screen.
You never answered "is it genetic"?
It's vetta not beta. You would think you would have the time to at least type his name correctly. Dividend max doesn't supply " the date of half Yearly OR Full year results." So you could not even be bothered to read what he wrote.
"Maybe the end of kibo’s sell off. Just in time for the Jv announcement next week. It all adds up."
I would assume the opposite. As in now's the chance to sell more shares at a higher price.
Remember the prick has been selling at a ridiculous low price already.
So don't hope he has sold enough to keep himself happy
Just possibility, a guess in other words, he will wait a few days before he starts selling. That's a guess and nothing more
Again First investment june 29th 2022.
This site is annoying as you can't edit.
Anyway the majority of private equity investment trusts are on big discounts.
BUT discounts are normal for most. As most are normally on 20%ish discount and are now on 40%. Some pay decent dividends worth looking if you can put up with share price volatility. Volatility is highest in this sector.
Throwngames "why 3i at 2,8% yield?"
Firstly total returns.
First investment 29th june 2021 (4% dividend). Another 16 since. Up only 30%. Despite the discount going from 25% to 12% premium. Due to the time spread of the investments. Normally trades on at least a 20% premium.
This year dividend increase was 14%. The average for the previous 5 years was 11.9% (didn't increase during covid). Which results in a doubling in 5 to 6 years.
I will continue to invest upto 15% premium.
NAV announced quarterly which I expect to bring the premium back to par (buying upto a 15% premium)
Importantly is one investment which is Action. Bought for 130 million € (2011). 52.5% 3i the rest a co-investor. Presently valued in excess of £7 billion (3i share). £300 million plus dividend paid to 3i this year.
Risky as this investment amounts to more than 50% of 3i's portfolio
Some is better than none.
I am doing well. Moved into private equity. Probably very close to the bottom.
Firstly 3i and HGT. Then more recently NBPE and ICGT.
3I brilliant
HGT great and still on a big discount.
ICGT good only up 4% recent purchase.
NBPE nowt up 10% within a week then back down.
Lot of private equity still cheap but you do have to check the normal discount. As most are always on a discount.
I would have BOOK if it was available on freetrade.
Mine went to 3i group.
Cheap only on 12% premium!!!
Started buying on 25% discount an extreme rarity. Normally on 20 plus premium.
Action is more than 50% of its holdings. They increased profits by 47%. Each time they update the NAV (quarterly) I expect the NAV to rise to meet the share price. At anything upto 15% premium.
Bought 17 times since June last year. Only up 31%.
Should put more in at the start.
Such is.
You will need to wait longer than that.
"Reinvestments are made between the 11th and 21st of each month"
The above is just Hargreaves Lansdowne.
No idea when others reinvest.
As an aside brockers don't gain from buying at higher price.
Further more Hargreaves Lansdown do not charge for the service.
Don't be paranoid not everyone is trying to rip you off.
