Wrong assumption. They sent a full replacement because they don't have spare bowls as they don't normally break.
Note you are not supposed to fully immerse the bowl when cleaning IF the bowl is not fully glazed, which they tend not to be around the base. Supposedly the base takes in water that causes it to break.
