I have yet to buy.
Now I have no idea what to do.
I don't know what the benefits are of dumping investment trust status. And more importantly to me will they continue to pay dividends as streamed interest.
Bugger.
Well at least I haven't bought any yet.
"I suspect it is only a mattr of time before Action floats" I have my doubts it will be anytime soon
" Also remember this is a terrible market right now." For the market yes. Not for a discounter. There essential are increasing sales significantly.
Namely food laundry/cleaning, personal hygiene and pet stuff.
"I am staying put" I will probably add in my isa possibly hg capital as well.

One thing i noted was 80% debt hedged 1.5% to 1.8% till 2026. I assume they were only talking about Action.
3i Group plc ("3i", or "the Group") will be holding a capital markets seminar this morning, involving a presentation from the management team of Action, our largest portfolio company. A live webcast of the seminar will take place at 10:00 (UK time). To register for the webcast, please visit https://www.3i.com/investor-relations. An on-demand webcast of the seminar will also be available by the end of the day.
Yep HG capital was my choice and in profit within a day.
Have 3i in my general account and my ISA. Already upped my ISA holding to take into account the sale in my general account. Moving the money into ISA and try not to buy more 3i. It will be difficult. A 20% plus premium is the norm.

"If Kibo did decide (forced because of debt) to sell down vastly below their majority threshold, "
So kibo is doing badly, if not very badly and the South African bloke (forgot his name) is selling mast shares to keep KIBO afloat?
The price will struggle to rise as long he is thought to be a seller. Mind the more he sells the less control he will have.

"I'm pretty confident I'd be better off if I'd put my money in a decent bank account with all its guarantees. I'm thinking stagnation breeds decline. Ftse all time high today, this nowhere again."
Why if you think the company is ****e have you invested in it....if you have.
72 posts nearly all attacking legal and general shareholders.
I think we have a troll here.

If you disagree with some one or something explain why rather than going to personal insults. Anyone is allowed an opinion

high an opinion of their own low intelligence & even lower intellect, otherwise why post the comment. I blame the UK education system.

I blame the media TV, newspapers etc. When you have TV full of love Island, strictly etc, and the best selling newspaper is the sun. It's clear the media isn't aiming high.
Do two know how insulting those remarks are? And how hypocritical you are for making them. I suspect the real ******s is not StrictlyZinc etc but your children. After all they have your genes.
Personally the ones I bought recently in my sipp are not wanted for the dividend.
In the past I have sold the day before exdivided day and bought back cheaper exdivided day. The difference was greater than the dividend.
I will probably set a greedy sell price day before the day before the exdivided day. If I think the shares have further to go I may set a very greedy buy back price and hold for longer.
I have noticed a regular drifting of the share price post exdivided. Falling significantly for a few months.
As I bought at 166 I am happy with my return but ì think overall legal and generals total return has been ****e over any 5 year period you would like to choose. While its actual profit and dividend increases suggest it should be otherwise.

"-13% makes it sound like a poor investment: but is that true, I think not"
You appear to be under the assumption that my view is wrong or open to interpretation. Its not, I am not offering a view I am stating a fact.
As of end of trade today legal and general share price is down 13.5% over 5 years.
It would have taken you a minute at the most to do the research.
