The major and BPC may be still in negotiations and a deal might pop up by 31st August. A consortium may be formed to spread risk. Did the major given permission to break exclusivity so BPC could speak to 3rd parties? IMHO

Spike whilst you had your head up your backside last night, you missed the fact that 'recommenced' nor 'recommended' was the actual wording in the RNS: "Bahamas Petroleum in conjunction with its adviser Macquarie Bank, has therefore recommenced broader, asset-based discussions with third parties in addition to those non-asset based financing discussions already ongoing for the funding of its first exploration well"

Exactly, it isn't "as simple as that". He's pretending that it's fact just because it's his opinion. The RNS is ambiguous and full of ommissions and far from "as simple as that". The status quo is that the major and BPC are in discussions - as far as I'm concerned the RNS doesn't mention that the major has walked, so discussions are ongoing.

Why are people like Amtech saying the major has walked when it doesn't state this in the RNS? It's dangerous to make misleading comments like this. It only states the exclusivity has ended, it doesn't state that negotiations have ended. Can we please stick to the facts that are available?
