I think most readers of this board welcome investment ideas and strategies from those who have done well over time, so long may that continue.

Buying strong miners cheap and just holding throughout the run-up to a bull run is hard to argue with. I think my main takeaway from 2021 is that holding can also be costly and so this time around I have been the complete opposite of loyal to a share. If there is a weakening I've bailed and so far it has meant my profits have been good and haven't eroded like they might have. Kept me busy though!

I find myself currently very heavy once more in Mara (45% of pf) whereas a few days ago I had none. Very small amount of clsk & mstr which were large holdings mid-week. The rest I sold and is cash ready to re-invest. I guess I'm of a mindset of profit protection over the long weekend. I'd always rather miss out on gains than take a heavy loss. I'm certainly not saying my way is best but it's good for me at the minute. I know others fare better with their own approach and good luck to them

Where I will definitely welcome input from the experienced many on here is regarding my big question: when to start selling in relation to the halving...

As you rightly state Chaebol, so much points to a large swing North for Mara at some point. Currently though it seems they're the miner that didn't get an invite to the bull run, so why not make money on everything else until the tide turns?

Mara's time is no doubt coming soon, but that doesn't mean we should all stay in until then. Glad to have switched to be in the other bigger risers today and will cycle back when it's Mara's turn.

Away from the big names that dominate my PF, I agree am happy with how wulf is performing. I have a similar stake in bit digital who are doing nicely too. They had their good news drowned out by the recent dip in BTC price but are recovering nicely now.

Good to see our conviction through yesterday be rewarded today.

I reckon it's all looking really good for new and significant ATH in fairly short order. I can't imagine the whales have waited three years to break a new record by a few thousand and then consider it a result. It'll get there. In the meantime, mara looking best of the big names having survived yesterday's shakeout and finished near enough flat at close of play.

Yes sentiment certainly shifting now to the better miners, you could see it unfolding as the market opened. A weekend where bitcoin price will have spooked some and you could see MSTR suddenly looked like it had run too far too soon whilst MARA and CLSK far less affected and seemingly undervalued. Then the expected slight turn in BTC and the miners leave MSTR for dust.

I've kept a token position in MSTR and am now heavily weighted towards the miners for the short term at least.

Great to see some strength in the miners today. Rolled half of my MSTR into CLSK, MARA and a few WULF.

As for mstr and the US miners and the overnight btc dip: the question is, do you believe the bull run is over?

If you do you should sell everything today. If you don't, all is well.

I think and hope MSTR still has a way to go yet and bought a token extra share just after opening as it had dropped.

Smaller miners could well be the ones to rotate into to begin with as mentioned. Mara at sub-18 with BTC on $72k - barely believable.

Maybe once Saylor announces an offering every evening it'll be time to look elsewhere

Yeah don't get me wrong, I'm still heavily weighted towards Microstrategy, to the point where I feel I ought to spread money around. But each time I try the miners as diversification they get outperformed by MS so I end up fully back in!

Nice to see a little bit of strength in them today though and will keep an eye for when to really begin to shift over. Post-halving as good a strategy as any but we all know to expect the unexpected - just look at the anticipation of Mara's results for an example of things doing the opposite of what most (including me) were anticipating. Maybe they'll have a run earlier, they certainly seem undervalued atm.

True for now, but as I type MS up 10.5% for the day, CLSK 8% so it could flip and then who knows.

Strong first few hours for clsk today with mara not far behind. First show of strength since Mara's results which is good. I've rotated some funds back in, hope it works well for us all.

That's the most likely likely scenario CLSKBull, but how much pain between now and then? I've been back in miners for 24 hours and have already left again this afternoon. I'll wait until it turns.
