The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
I agree explanation would be helpful. That said even if they don't want to do that, they could at least undate the 'background' note attached to each RNS as it is now clearly out of date because even if hole 21 is not really in progress but just 'planned' the RNS itself refers to hole 20 having started - which means the current RNS is inconsistent within itself. Colin (and I guess all the team) have a lot on their minds, but RNS's are one of the possible entry point for attracting new investors and this RNS is beginning to look as though it should have been read a little more carefully before release.
Correction to my previous post as both hole 7 and hole 21 are to be included that makes 15 holes not as in my post 14 holes. I don't think we are on phase 3. The terminology they have been using is block 1 holes of phase 2. But I do think we need clarification as to whether we have moved onto block 2, or has block 1 been extended?
I have no idea if they are going to issue a 'correction' or 'update' RNS or not, but if they do they miight usefully clarify the position on BRDD-21-021 which is not mentioned in the RNS but is in the diagram as in progress. Also the Background info talks about the first block of 13 holes and 21-7 = 14, so are they on the second block now or have they increased the number of holes in the first block?
I agree, because although the results are probably a release of the actual assay results, it is also possible they are just internal team estimates! So they could lead to confusion in the market.
Thanks Dibs, It was the link between slight/moderate and figures I wanted so thanks you. By the way for those who, like me, read the 'RNS' on chat rather than going to the actual RNS , the RNS has 2 pdfs worth reviewing.
BRDD-21-0189 ? That's the sort of typo I make. What's with the two new holes looking like the same as two previously drilled holes on the diagram? I don't understand. Anyone know whether 'trace to moderate visible copper' might mean? It doesn't sound great, but I don't know how to relate this words into even rough figures.
I am pleased I didn't bother getting up early to read the 'expected(?)' RNS. So are people still hoping for one later today? Tomorrow? or is it next week now? Only guessing, but maybe a standard 'drill holes complete' RNS later today?
Hi James, I am still relatively new here, months invested not years, so you will have to forgive me if I seem to be behind the curve. Despite his problem with timescales I admit I am beginning to warm to CB as I listen to his interviews on Vox etc . Compared to some of my other one-time favourite companies I am encouraged by Colins apparent knowledge (I only say apparent because in truth I lack the knowledge to assess his knowledge properly; it wouldn't be that difficult to pull the wool over my eyes on mining matters) , his enthusiasm and by the fact that he has heavily invested his own money here. I am fully ready to forgive him a few slips in his time-estimates if he ends up making us all rich!
I am starting to suspect CB's of being too optimistic in his timescales on occaisons. So whilst I am hoping for a (or several) RNSs tomorrow, maybe early next week is, in the parallel universe in which we live, the middle of this week in CB universe/time-line. That said. What RNS(s) are we expecting? The new model? The finish of the latest two holes and the start of the next two? Indeed are we expecting them to start drilling the next two holes directly after the current two end? Some assay results? Good news from Africa which relates to the last quarter? There seems to be so much in the pipeline that some news must come from one of these direction soon, mustn't it? I just may get up early to check for a new RNS tomorrow, but then I get so disappointed when nothing (or a damb quib RNS) appears. GLA.
I'm not sure so I shouldn't speculate.**
I have not intended to 'take digs' at you or anyone. If you felt I have targetted you in any way at all I sincerely apologise. it was not intended. I tend often to reply to the posts for their content, not even noticing in many cases who wrote the post. And I can't remember when I have disagreed with you or anyone else specifically as opposed to disagreeing with the content of various posts (not posters). I tend to state my opinion and if I turn out to be wrong (which my familly tell me I am a lot) then hopefully someone will correct me or just give a different opinion. No personal malice is involved. Anyway I really wonder if that tweet was worded like that to intentionally give the impression that (most or all) of the 'sample' for these two holes had been sent off. I'm not sure so I should speculate. Eirther way I think it would have been easy to misunderstand. I had the advantage (luck) that I tend to work from the RNSs, and rarely come into contact with tweets. And in this case the RNS were probably clearer. All the best and don't mind my posts.
First samples is carefully worded and 'ambigous'. I suspect this means that by 19th August (later than the tweet) the complete samples from only one hole and possibly part of the samples from the other had been sent, which is why the RNS on that day did not mention the second (or was that the first) hole. Alternatively the RNS dafter forgot to mention the second (first) hole by mistake. As we are unlikely to get an RNS based on less than the assay results from a complete hole, I believe my original post here stands and seven if I was wong my assertion is supported by the evidence of the RNSs so Someone over-reacted!
I did not mean to offend you. I admit I am not on Twitter and I only follow Twitter via this chat Board. I tried to find the tweet but failed so I used my memory (which could well be faulty) I took my information from the RNS feeds as follows:
Extract from RNS 19th August: ·· Logging and splitting of core from hole BRDD-21-007 has been completed and samples have been dispatched to the analytical laboratory, with work continuing on the remaining holes I can't find any mention of
The RNS is rather bitty but I can't find any reference in it to the second hole assay material being sent off.
Extract from RNS 2 September
· Logging and splitting of core from holes BRDD-21-007, 008 and 009 has now been completed and samples have been dispatched to the analytical laboratory, with work continuing on the remaining holes.
So when did the tweet appear? Before or on the 19 August? And for future reference how do I find it if I don't want to join Twitter?
I am pretty sure they DIDN't send it with whole 8, The RNS said they had sent the samples for hole 8 off with no mention of hole 7. There was a tweet if I remember rightly which said they were both 'ready' (or something similar) to go off for testing, but 'ready' is not the same as 'sent'.
Steve, If Ella is or has been a pyschologist I would be very carefull how you answer her question.
Patient: yes I believe there is a conspiracy to stop the shares I won from rising and they should.
Pychologist: And do you get this feeling that anyone is against you often?
With apologies to Ella.
I would guess Cabtor can only do this while we lack news. So it is midweek, where is our assay results/drill update/new model of the resource/ update on African assets/ etc, etc? We probably need some strongly positive news and then Cantor will have to play their games in a different type of market. Roll on news. GLA
I think for now the chart may be less valuable than considering the fundamentals - We are (impatiently for the most part I would guess) waiting for important news. When we get it (assuming it is as expected) then the SP will probably end the week above 4.6p and go to 5.6p or maybe a lot more depending on what the news is! However it could also blast past 5.6 p before we get a 4.6 week close. Charts and technical analysis (may) have their value at certain stages but for now at least my advice would be wait/watch for news and don't bother with the chart.
Two late reported buys last night. Looks as though they are related as one is half the other. Not huge but 900,000 and 450,000 shares at 4.735p , so shows someone has belief. Late reporting may (or may not) be significant. But , as yet, no RNS this morning. Disappointing, but it helps build up the tension. GLA.
Hope this isn't replaced by asterisks:

These two holes have been going for at least a week now. Do we have any info about where they are located? I probably have missed something, and if so, can someone point me in the right direction to find the info pl. Thanks.
